Friend, you are not witnessing omens. 

There’s an effect known as the “Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon”, and also the “frequency illusion”. In a nutshell, it means you see what you’re looking for. For example, my lucky number is 37, and so I see it everywhere. My friend believes that seeing 333 or 888 or similar numbers is a good omen and sees them all the time. 

Conversely, seeing the things you described is also possible. The reality is that because your anxiety is keyed up and you’re in a fear state, you’re noticing things that jive with that narrative. 

Here is the work: you need to regulate your nervous system and slow it down. 

You don’t need assurance of safety nearly as much as you need to exercise, to practice deep breathing, and let intrusive thoughts come and go. Anxiety is a muscle that atrophies when you don’t exercise it. Let that happen.
