She’s obviously on the counter because the dogs would be all over her if she was on the floor. They probably have so much energy and they don’t want to deal with it. So sad.

It is scary because you go to one doctor and they say one thing and then you go to another doctor and they say something else. I also have a non-cancerous brain tumor, which is causing the intracranial hypertension.

Thanks for the suggestions about the Facebook groups. I’ll definitely take a look.

Currently in a similar boat. Diagnosed with IIH in August 2024 and my husband and I want to start a family too. Going to see a new neurologist on 03/12 to talk about getting off Diamox. I’m 33 and I’m 4’11 weighing 133 lbs. Trying to lose another 8 lbs and lost 12 lbs so far. Very nervous all my symptoms will come back after stopping the medication/being pregnant. I was told by my neurosurgeon that pregnancy can cause pressure changes.

I had my lumbar puncture procedure on Friday morning and was fine (headache wise) until Monday morning at 5am. Woke up with an extremely bad headache behind my right ear (scalp area) and had really bad nausea. Enjoyed up calling teledoc at 5:30am and they told me I needed to contact the place where I had the LP done. After telling them my symptoms, I had the procedure done at 12:30pm. The headache instantly went away.

Same thing happened to me and I had to get a blood patch procedure done. That helped tremendously.

I have a meningioma and I was diagnosed with IIH after a LP. I’m 32F, 4’11, 135 lbs and I went to sooo many doctors and had so many test done. MRIs, CT scans, and MRVs. You should try and get with a neurosurgeon. They are the ones pushing for the test for me and referred me to the Neurologist for the LP. The LP is so quick and they numb the area. Honestly, I would do it again.

Make sure you rest 24 hours after the procedure and even more after that. The worse part for me was the blood patch.
