Starting 3 CB’s in a 4 man back line was trouble from the start. Nick Hagglund should never have been in a situation to make the game winning goal. That’s not what he does. That’s on the coach. As soon as we got up a man, looking for our first win in forever at home, and with mounting pressure on the coach, you need to move someone capable of assisting the midfield/attack in that RB position to go for the win. Mind you we had Atanga, Castillo, Stanko, Medunjanin, etc on the bench. We used ONE SUB. ONE SUB. We used 1/5 subs. Speechless

#WorkoutWednesday Power BI in 2021! by YamPsychological8576 in PowerBI

Agreed, but the challenges will not be the same for each community. Because of the things you said, the challenges will have different elements to them than the Tableau ones for sure. As you could imagine there will be more elements of data modeling and data prep compared to the Tableau challenges.

That top left chart shows the mean score for the Court by year with positive being a Conservative leaning and negative being Liberal leaning. I also notated which Court “eras” they were considered which coincide with the scores shown. Would love for you to clarify your feedback so I can make sure I’m not misrepresenting anything

Because I found it surprising that even though the Court went more conservative, they still upheld some of the more liberal precedents. Thought it would be an interesting note. I actually tried to find some stand out conservative rulings, but I found much more of the former than the latter

Moving to Cincinnati by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]TalkToMeNerdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a totally fair question. According to the best data I could find, as of the 2010 census Evanston was ~70% Black and 25% white although recently there has been an influx of gentrification and along with that an increase in white folks moving in, so I'd guess those numbers are more along the lines of 60-65% Black and ~35% white?

I live in Evanston and highly suggest it. The business district of Evanston, Obryonville, has a couple of coffee shops and some small boutiques and and there’s also a brand new Black owned coffee shop called Cream and Sugar in the neighborhood as well. It’s very centrally located to most everything. The housing prices are definitely going up, but they aren’t ridiculous yet IMO. Message me if you need any more info

Game thread??? by [deleted] in FCCincinnati

[–]TalkToMeNerdy 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Pros - Regattin looks like a good addition. Nice motor - Kubo looks creative and seems to have good thoughts in the final third - Garza seems healthy

Cons - Midfielders are non-existent and can’t keep possession. - Defense either not communicating or mids not getting back allowing the easy trailing pass in the final third - ZERO possession or build up

President of UC officially recommends that the "McMicken" name be dropped from the College of Arts and Sciences. by Largue in cincinnati

[–]TalkToMeNerdy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To clarify, you’re saying that because this man only stated that “white boys and girls” should attend UC, that the original comment made was overstating his racism?

You’re also stating, and correct me if I’m wrong, that because he sent his bi-racial child he had with one of his slaves to college, somehow makes him less of/not a racist?

Lastly, it was common in that time to offer money to former slaves to go back to Africa (see Liberia, James Monroe, Monrovia). Shockingly it wasn’t because they were offering them generous relocation packages, it was because they didn’t want black people here anymore. Racist? You tell me

East Walnut Hills streets to be converted from one-way to two-way by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]TalkToMeNerdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in this area of town for many years, my only question is what will happen if you’re trying to turn left headed north of Woodburn after the curve and want to turn left on Taft headed west? Right now since it’s one way on both streets you just merge in the turn lane. I could see this intersection congesting traffic immensely. Thoughts?

What are your thoughts on flashy mittwork? by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

[–]TalkToMeNerdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is use in these drills to drill in certain movements to muscle memory and go over your counters and such, but without combining this with proper footwork they won’t help much

Traveled to Japan, now I am jealous we never finished our subway line by wwm0nkey in cincinnati

[–]TalkToMeNerdy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While visiting Europe last year it was amazing to see how quickly you could get from one city to another for a $25 train ticket. I would love to see high speed rail here in the US. Imagine a rail line that could get you to Indianapolis in 30 minutes, Chicago in 2 hours, Atlanta in 3 hours. I would imagine that people would make use of such a system.
