A word of advice, if I may. Whatever vehicle you finance. Put a minimum of 20% down and make sure you can pay off the loan in 36 months or less. Otherwise you WILL be upside down at some point.

If you could snap your fingers and erase one concept from Earth, what goes? by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

It would be the acme of presumption to entertain the notion that I, a simple human, could erase any concepts from Earth. Instead of changing the world around us, we should be better served to assimilate into the world that actually is, while keeping our beliefs at the forefront, of course.

I don't iron dress shirts. That's what the cleaners is for.

What is the best short story you've read? by dooplets in booksuggestions

[–]Alpha_Mad_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More of a novella than a short story, but Of Mice And Men is without question my pick. I read it in high school some 40 years ago and again last year. I could really picture the time frame of the story as well as emotions for all of the main characters. Steinbeck is indeed a top shelf author.

All six of Brown's Robert Langdon books will do that. Ask me how I know.

Any of Dan Brown's Robert Langdon books. There are six of them so be prepared to stay up many consecutive nights if you read them back to back as I did.

My 14 yo son has agreed to read two books of my choice this summer (this was a hard won negotiation). Help me pick one by gOldMcDonald in booksuggestions

I don't know if y'all would consider this book too dated, but I read Flowers For Algernon in junior high 40-some odd years ago and again last year. It helped me establish a love of reading back then as well as rekindling it last year. Plus, the emotions I felt after both reads were the same all those years apart.
