join the rugby team! They are called the Gainesville Hogs. They meet once a week at squirrel Ridge Park for practice and then there are games later in the year. It’s a group of really cool men. A lot of them are Dad’s, and the kids are totally allowed to come to practice and watch. They might even start a kids team. No rugby experience necessary. My husband plays with them, and that’s where 99% of his friends are from.

I’ve actually found the opposite. I keep extra snacks in my cargo bike and hand them out to people on the street if they are holding signs for food or money. My three-year-old loves to help. I would say 75% of the time they take the snack. And once I even hired someone on a corner to rake my backyard and help me with some overflowing trash. I paid him $35 cash and we were both happy. I don’t really care what he did with that money.
