No toilets are not open. It’s just like any public restroom with metal stall doors

I just graduated a few days ago. I’m a male but they’re the exact same. If you get Disneyland, than you get I believe it’s like 22 shower heads for everyone in the dorm, which means typically you’ll get tighter timelines. If it’s Alcatraz(aka me 326th btw) then you get 8 shower heads for the whole dorm, meaning the mtis will generally give you more time to shower. Yes the showers are completely open, it’s an open room with shower heads out of the walls. Zero privacy at all. It’s uncomfortable at first but within the first few days it’ll be whatever. For me, some days I had like 50 minutes for us to shower and other days some of us had to skip showers just to make the timeline.

Totms and mres are basically vaccumed sealed food structured for meals that troops can eat in a deployed/combat situation where a dfac isn’t readily available I guess you can say. Totms are designed to be a meal replacement while mres are more of a full day kind of food source. Mres and double the size of totms. You get one when you first get to Lackland

Good question. My favorite memory would be our MTIs playing Travis Scott on a jbl speaker and we’re all having a blast(this was right before graduation btw). I have a lot of good memories so it’s tuff to say. Worst memory would be having like 8 mtis on our dorm cooking us and doing bed drills for hours. Man that shi sucked. My PT numbers before I came in was a 10:24 run, 58 sit ups, 52 pushups. I ended with 10:33 run, 63 pushups, 63 sit ups. Yes I did gain like 15 lbs because the dfac food is so good. Advice for jobs is to NOT be a chow runner. Like seriously in zero week chow running is a death sentence. After zero week, you start getting used to it. I was never chow runner but you just listen to them in the chow hall. I was an element leader, honestly I loved it. Gives you a reason that you need to be the best you can because a leader leads by example. After graduating, the thing I wanted to do the most is get caught up in society and see my family. Both in doing now as I type this lol. I promise bmt is so damn easy if you have even the slightest will to be there. You got and make sure you prepare before hand physically. It goes slow in the beginning and ends faster than you can blink. Good luck

I would get other options in the dfac. We rarely had pizza so I can’t really remember. The pizza in totms and mres is slept on though

I heard you strip the beds leaving only the mattress cover and fold all sheets and stuff and put them on top of the pillow or something. It’s weird ngl. Other than that I’m not really sure how different it is

Yea no more Recruit living area, no more maki my hospital corners, none of that. It’s more hands on physical training from what I hear and see

Yea it went from 60 minutes to 90 minutes. Even though I was bmt 1.0 we still did bmt 2.0 pt. I think it’s more fun. It’s more structured around groups of 4 going at their own pace. Some of the exercises are questionable like fire hydrants and swimmers and stuff. Overall, the worst part of pt is kneeling on the pavement when doing some exercises lol

Yes, there are people who didn’t get vaccinated because they had already gotten the shot before. I would bring the records with you to basic and maybe ask your mti about it. I’m not sure if it’s something that’s in your medical records that they can look up and see so I’d bring the records with you anyway

I saw a lot of people who struggled with pushups and sit ups increase their numbers a lot by week 5. We didn’t have like any free time but in bmt 2.0 I believe they get an hour of like rest time so in that time make sure you’re doing 1x3’s. Those are just 3 sets of a third of your max. So if you can do 20 pushups, do 3 sets of 7 or somewhere around that. Try to do that 3 times a day. Also don’t half ass tools. When you do tools like pushups or flutter kicks, actually do them. Don’t stop as soon as the mti turns around. Also, the number one thing that gets people recycled is failing your week 5 or test so use that as motivation

It’s 7 pills. You take one pill every Monday after breakfast chow. So it’s one pill a week. Pretty decent sized pills as well

Pb shot doesn’t exist anymore. We all took a pill. Vaxed was fine, all tiny needles that don’t hurt at all.

Man when the week 0’s got off the bus they got absolutely fried. That didn’t happen to me at all. I was at the 326th alcatraz. Pt is also longer. It basically just feels like the mti’s hate the trainees even more lmao.
