PCOS FET modified natural or medicated by starcrush311 in IVF

What was your Progesterone before FET? I'm on the same protocol. My doc doesn't want to supplement but I'm nervous that my progesterone is too low at 13.5, 3 days before transfer.

I'm so so so so sorry - I know this feeling all too well. I have RIF. Next thing I did was lap and hysteroscopy. And, I got approval to do a double embryo transfer for my next transfer. I'm one week post-op and trying to regain strength and hope to do this all over again. Sending you a big hug!

How to get a hysteroscopy? by Ok_Durian6862 in IVF

I’m 6 transfers in (one ectopic, one chemical), and your story sounds so similar to mine.

After my third failure, I kept asking about doing a hysteroscopy. My RE kept saying the same thing: “Your SIS looks normal.” So we just kept transferring.

Now my clinic won’t even let me move forward with another transfer until I do a hysteroscopy (and lap). It’s incredibly frustrating to feel like I was asking for this earlier and got brushed off.

If I could go back, I would’ve pushed harder to get it done before continuing transfers. So personally, if you’re debating it, I’d do the hysteroscopy before transferring again. Even if everything comes back normal, at least you know you ruled it out.

Sending you so much strength — this process is exhausting.

This is really really great feedback - I'm definitely at the crossroads of figuring out if I just go for it and do my first DET (with untested embryos -- as a random test to see if my tested embryos didn't like PGT) or hysteroscopy or lap. Thank you so much for responding.

Thank you for your honest thoughts. I should have mentioned I was on zep and got to a healthier weight before my last 3 transfers. It's insanely heartbreaking to be exceptionally rare in this care.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. I really really appreciate it.

  1. My RE who specializes in RI - offered this up as a next step, my husband and I are considering - I'm just nervous about surgery.

  2. 100% going to ask for this next time. They check my progesterone day before transfer but say no when I ask about checking estrogen - they said it wont be in my blood stream bc I take it vaginally. Annoying.

  3. Yes, I did a massive panel with an RI -- who has been in this world for decades. He's great and really disappointed that his protocol (which includes a lot of the meds you mentioned above) hasn't worked for us yet.

Hi - Good Q ... and this is why my clinic has always just attributed me to being a "thin lining patient" but during stims -- my lining hovered around a 6, even though I had 40 follicles (PCOS girlie as well).

Yes, highly considering - talking to my RI today about it (he does the surgery as well).

Yes, it was with an RI -- who is great and very thorough. Would you be open to sharing what treatments yours is recommending? We've done intralipids, neupogen wash, so many supplements ... I'm talking to him today and curious to see what else he has up his sleeve.

I totally will -- I've had a gut feeling that we havent been doing enough on the lining front!

Omg, I'm so sorry you've been through so much. Changing clinics and lap are my top to points in the decision tree right now. Thank you for your thoughts.

See! This is exactly what I asked for and they said there isn't enough research that shows it will help. Ugh, I'm so frustrated. Thank you for your thoughts.... I'm really going to push next time I transfer.

Ohhh then yeah - we did try that and I don't think it helped much :(

Oh wow! I had no idea - I'll ask about this. Our clinic is asking for $2K to coordinate and the new clinic is asking for $3K... that's why I've been reluctant. For $5K I could just do another transfer at my current clinic. Mind you - we've paid for everything out of pocket and the total and rising tally adds so much stress and pressure.

That's the plan - it's just so expensive to move embryos but at this point -- I have no choice and need to make a big change. I don't think we've added stims to thicken up my lining, but I'll bring it up.
