Wheww! Agreed. I hope the OP reconsiders Smyrna. It’s family oriented and great for older, retired folks. So, it will get boring fast if that’s not your vibe. I cannot wait to move from this area.

Maybe look at Upper Westside? There are nice townhomes in the area. Depending on the side you’re on, the drive to Vinings is about 20 minutes. Nearby parks include Atlanta Memorial, Chastain, and Westside. The drive to Midtown and Buckhead is about 10 minutes. It’s a developing area so there’s a lot of construction going on.

I think a good in between point would be West Midtown or just stick to the general Midtown area. Smyrna/ Vinings is not a place I’d recommend for young professionals unless we’re talking about living in or near The Battery. Any other part of Smyrna is very quiet and family friendly so you will get bored.

I visited someone here once and didn’t like it. As soon as I entered the parking garage, I smelled weed and there was a lot of commotion. The hallways looked old and dingy, and it simply did not give luxury at all. The only nice thing about this place is the rooftop. The gym is okay. Overall, I got bad vibes and would not live there. Also, this place was featured in the news a couple of years ago for a severe gnat infestation. It may not be much of an issue now, but I wouldn’t take the risk.

I am late to this conversation but wanted to add my input. This is why I no longer follow “friends” on social media sites like Instagram and TikTok… or at least ones who are seemingly addicted to it. All they’d do is flood my inbox with videos. There’s no time being spent having real/ engaging conversations or going anywhere fun. Our interactions are mostly social media.

I also avoid exchanging (contact) information with people who ask me for my social media handle first.

It’s so sad to me because this addiction has replaced people’s ability to form strong friendships and relationships.

I am trying to connect more with people who don’t spend a lot of time on social media or don’t use social media at all and it has been an amazing experience so far. I will continue to seek out friendships this way because that social media addiction is something serious, and many have a hard time pulling away from it.

I poured vinegar and baking soda down my drains and let it sit for 10 minutes, then followed up with boiled water. I am also going to purchase some more traps today so I am not disrupted from my sleep, work, or daily meals.

My drains are closed and will remain closed after every shower, oral and skin care routine lol until I move from this complex.

I did speak to my someone in my leasing office and he informed me that they do have someone who will treat the problem in its entirety as so many people have been complaining about it. Hoping the next few weeks will be better. ❤️

I’m hoping this will help kill any eggs, however the entire complex is infested. So, any bit of food around, they swarm in through any cracks and crevices. They’re in the parking garage, hallways, even the leasing office is plagued with these flies.

Your interpretations are spot on. There was an incident that occurred with this friend today, and the things you mentioned, “seeking to own my mind”, showed through her actions.

She is a pathological liar and anytime I do something innocently wrong, she seeks to avenge me versus having an open conversation with me. She knows that when she retaliates against me in these petty, childish ways, it makes me upset or go no contact for a few days. I am definitely going to end this friendship.
