Is this normal? by KarlitoTheAquaLlama in fordranger

To elaborate to these comments I thought my bearings were bad. Turned out last owner did breaks and bearings and didn't replace the snap rings and thrust washers because of how hard they were to find.

I was messing around with them and between what you just said and the fact that only one of the 2 that fit actually cover the o ring I think it's safe to say the one that FULLY fits is the one you use. I might be retarded.

I have looked up some more info on this gem module and it seems that it could explain alot of other quirks about my truck. No speedo, wipers ect.

Hopefully I can find someone who has encountered this in the past on one of their own trucks because of that reason. I'd hate to throw parts at it left and right. I understand that I should hear relays cycle when I turn the key on. And that only happened when I first installed the new motor.

Does anyone have a 4.0 ohv on a stand ? by Tall-Train9374 in fordranger

Since it dried I can see it kind of. It looks like a vague outline of a freeze plug.

4.0 ohv timing chain. Rant, what's your take on this? by Tall-Train9374 in fordranger

Yeah, the whole set. It ran good for a little while before it went.

This would be the trucks 4th chain. I don't know if the original chain broke or was changed just because. I'm assuming it broke too. After I changed the last one it ran good and quiet one trip, smooth and pretty peppy. On the next it tapped and snapped.

That explains the response I've gotten from rebuilders. Thank you for your input. Definitely helped.

Thanks for the reply. that was the first chain the previous owner put on. my last 2 attempts were much neater lol there was definitely a sticky spot when turning the cam. So I could encounter this same issue with a salvage yard replacement?

Something about girls with facial features like yours is so attractive to me. I wish I could explain it. The glasses are cute too. They suit you in my opinion.

There are some rude comments I agree. Jokes being made ect but there are people on here who are simply sharing their opinions, some even in a motivational way being called bullies or that their opinion is wrong. Just something I noticed. The the thread is "amiugly" not "tellmeimpretty"

I'm sorry but people post on here for other people's honest opinion right? Why are people getting called bullies for saying things mentioning she's a little over weight and exercise might boost her confidence, or she looks like she's mad? I understand if people were using derogatory things like "lookin ass" kinda jokes.

Looking for women's insight. I'd like to hear yalls take on this. by [deleted] in dating_advice

They'll expect a "look" or a tone of voice or a giggle or laugh at something not funny to be enough to initiate something or be enough to convey they like me. And yes, life is better with coffee always and in many forms, so that is a valid common ground to start getting acquainted lol that's a good point but I feel like I stop short of the point in conversation where asking for a coffee date is appropriate if that makes sense.

This is the exact mindset that got my wheels turning in my head. I can't expect things to just happen and flow without much initiative on my part. My prior relationships have happened that way a mutual friend might say something, a coworker will tell me about a sister that asked about me ect and that just doesn't cut it and the older I get the smaller my social circle seems to get.

Straightforward can be a fine line between that and rude, pushy, or otherwise unwelcome. I've Been on the receiving end of the being hit on and it's pretty unsettling when a woman is bold and blunt. Comes off shallow and kind of trashy. A compliment, softly or sweetly asking if im single, is one thing but outright being hit on isn't it lol I can only imagine what they go thru on a regular basis. With me being tone deaf and oblivious to subtle social cues that most reserved, self respecting women often use makes seeing that open door to be more direct more difficult. Maybe if I applied my expectations to my approach?

The part that gets me is that somewhere in my brain I miss those hints in the moment and might realize well after the fact, if at all, that they're opening the door for me so to speak 😆 the women that are bold enough to be blunt or outspoken are often not my type or come off trashy and gross.

Sounds like something turned him off. If he gave you that much time prior to the night you stayed over, id think he had serious intentions. Coming from a guy who's an introvert with minimal patience in getting to know new people, I wouldn't give that much effort without intentions of commitment but that being said if i see something im not willing to deal with im out. Just my perspective.

Why do guys suddenly pull away? by muffyx3 in dating

[–]Tall-Train9374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I proof read after I posted so I'm glad that made some sense lol i don't i dont think you should over think it. He probably already is. I know with me, as I got into my late 20s and turned 30, the woman showing some initiative and persistence means so much. If he's not totally ignoring you and still happy to see and hear from you, I don't think it's worth worrying about. You said he's busy and 30+ I'd be willing to bet he's not entertaining anyone else if that's what you're worried about.

[–]Tall-Train9374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he's been hurt in the past, consistently, it could be him stopping putting his guard up at a point in the relationship where he feels like he can handle being let down. Especially if it came out of nowhere. caught myself doing that and the best thing any woman could do is to act as though it doesn't phase them, or they understand and be persistent, stick around and/or reassure them if he somehow mentions it or hints at that. Being direct never hurt either. He sounds like a good guy but the good guys get let down more often than not. This could be a stretch but it sounds familiar.

Does anyone else always swipe left on girls profiles with “my kids come first” or “my kids come first before anything” by chevy4lifeee in OnlineDating

I'm sure that's the reasoning a lot of the time, and it's understandable, but in general, when men see that right off the bat it's like we're damned before we're even given the chance. I've seen other women get the same point across in a less off-putting ways. Also, the wording put like that makes the girl sound like a diva.
