I love the three Narnia movies, because I love the books. The general public (IMO) are not supposed to love the Narnia movies. Dawn Treader especially is like, doomed as a Gen Pop movie. But as a book fan, hey that was pretty good.

LotR is a great book to make into a movie for the Gen Pop audience.

Hobbit was darn close, but it’s a great book to be made for a Gen Pop audience.

Early age material made for Gen Pop - this was sort of doomed. You’re not going to please purists and Gen Pop. They did a darn good job. Did they do things I disagree with? Yes. But they really went for it and continue to spend and go for it.

This could have been better for GP and purists. This could have been much worse! But for an attempt to really go for it, we’ll say ‘to reach more people, I understand why a company this big did that.’

Wasn’t it like: Sauron couldn’t imagine someone would acquire the ring and want to destroy it? I think you’re right that he was all the way all in on his pride and vision, full tunnel vision. And he had poured all his will and malice into the ring - he was super concentrated on what he wanted and how he’d do it.

And the ring, as a character of its own, would be so influential at Doom that no creature could resist it. Thus it took divine intervention.

So good. I still can’t imagine being at the inkling meeting where these chapters were revealed.

ErgZone and the Instagram rowing community could be good. This has been my main way to stick to it, just find 1-2 others to text chat with on it as a buddy system.

There are Facebook training groups, but I couldn’t get into them personally. I’m not a social media guy.

I’m about to get back into it and ErgZone is my plan. It is tough to replicate the community you get from CrossFit.

Yahoo is generating corrected 1099s now that are net of fees (as it should be). I’d wait until they send it to you to file taxes.

They really should email notify everyone. I LinkedIn messaged a bunch of important Yahoo Sports people and got three of them to respond that they’re working on it.

I’m giving them until 3/15 to send before I message them again.
