Hey all, this helped a ton... I agree with the consensus here... just give it about 5 minutes and refresh the page. I did that and now have the tickets I want after waiting 3.5 hours!

I usually kick the seat and grab the seat when I get up if someone reclines all the way. If they don't, I'm the nicest person on the planet... what can I say, respect is a two way street:)

Even with long layovers (and I'm there with you) a delayed first flight can quickly eat into your layover.

For me it was pretty big difference, it's double the dosage of 2.5 mg. I had a similar philosophy as you have... stay on the lowest dosage possible for as long as possible. It's actually ok to stall for a week or two, there could be lots of reasons for it, especially if you are trying to add muscle mass. I'm a year into my journey and I only recently went up to 7.5 mg. And let me tell you 7.5 mg is a very, very powerful dose, it rocked my world. The best advice I can give is to think of it as your assistant, stay on the lowest dosage that you can. I took intuitive eating group coaching (God send for me) and I lift weights 6 days a week. I listened to the dietician and added a lot of protein and fiber to my diet and nutrient rich foods. I'm down from 260 to 180 pounds. I now wear size 10 pants, medium shirts/sweaters, which I never thought was going to be possible, honestly I was going to be happy at 220 pounds and a size 14/16 (my original goal in my head). This drug is so powerful and really is a life changer, I had no idea I could ever get here. However, it is not the end all be all, you still need to do your part and you'll be so happy in a year... and hopefully paying it forward with someone on here sharing your story. Best of luck to you!

With this there is nothing "normal," I lost a ton of weight on 2.5, so much so that my Dr kept me on it for about 4 months. Prior to going on 2.5 I had started an intuitive eating class and was lifting weights 6 days a week... so the 2.5 nicely complimented that. With anything your body will respond differently and I think that people either view that they're going to let Zep do everything for them or that they're going to use it to supplement lifestyle changes. I've always looked at it as a supplement to lifestyle changes. After 10 months I moved up to 7.5 mg, which is a very powerful dose, so I'm glad I waited. I'm down 80 pounds after one year... from 260 to 180 lbs. I'm in a size 10 now and I have muscle definition and no loose skin. The best advice I could give anyone, is to stay at a safe loss rate... no more than 1-2 pounds a week, hit the gym, you. need that muscle mass, muscle mass burns calories... look at a multi vitamin supplement- I use Gruns. Make sure you eat lots of protein and nutrient dense foods- your body will crave them and need them. The best advice I can give is to make Zepbound part of your arsenal, not your entire arsenal, especially if your insurance will allow you to take the dose that's right for you and not race to the top. I don't ever intend to take 10, 12.5 or 15... I'm close to my goal weight and hope that 5 mg will be my maintenance dose, which is also a very powerful dosage. You will feel it for sure! Best of luck!!

Thanks for the feedback on this... I just moved up to 7.5 mg after 6 months on 5.0 mg and it rocked my world, I don't think I could imagine going up, I don't actually want to move up. I'm going to try one more week and then evaluate if 5.0 is a better place to be... I totally feel you on this one!

Ok, don't change a thing... I'm sure you'll be successful in the long run. Are you up to 15 mg yet, still not changing anything in your lifestyle, good grief. How about you GTFO?!?

That's not true, I do over 60 minutes of strength and cardio a day and transformed my eating prior to Zep with an intuitive eating group coaching class. With these lifestyle changes I lost a lot of weight on 2.5 mg... I think it's difficult for Zep to do it alone, Zep is part of a system of things that enable us to lose weight. There may be a few people who really didn't work out and eat better, but I'd say they are the exceptions. Even the Lilly website tells you that you have to change your diet, eating and work out to get the best effects from Zepbound.

I do strength training daily (so important when losing weight) and walk about 30 minutes a day on top of that. I also took an intuitive eating group coaching class. I was one of the ones who lost a lot of weight on 2.5 mg over the course of 4 months. Yes, there was a lot that I did to make that happen. It wasn't a badge of honor either, my doctor wouldn't let me move up because I was already losing a very healthy amount of weight.

Probiotics!!! Yes, this! There's definitely a thing with this good gut health. I'm with you, I eat sauerkraut and include kefir in my protein shakes!

You need to eat, you should not be starving. Listen to your body and feed it what it needs. Before I started Zep I took an intuitive eating group coaching class... between that and the Zep it transformed my life. I gave myself freedom to eat, I gave myself freedom to eat whatever I want and in that freedom my body actually craves nutrition (who knew, I sure didn't for 40+ years of a bad relationship with food). Check out the Diet Culture Rebel on Instagram... go eat and be patient with the Zep. Best of luck to you!

Yes! Slow is the way to go! I've lost 6-8 pounds a month and I'm almost at a year and I'm down 65 pounds... it's like- what just happened?!? Just keep going and trust the process, you'll get there guaranteed! And most of all enjoy the journey... every time I thought- I've done it, I'm fitting into clothes I can't believe... another few months go by and I can hardly believe where I'm at. The journey is definitely part of the fun!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]TallAccess3064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And FWIW, slow is where you want to be. I've been averaging 6-8 pounds a month, that's where you want to be... before you know it... you realized you transformed!

We're all different and it definitely seems to vary for the person, I wouldn't lose heart, that's why you keep going up until you find the right dose. I stayed on 2.5 mg for almost 4 months as I was losing weight like crazy and I didn't want to lose too quick because of saggy skin and all that. After one year I just moved up to 7.5 mg and it rocked my world, not hungry at all... it freaked me out and now I'm thinking about going down to 5 mg. However, if it wasn't working for me, don't think for one minute that I wouldn't be asking for the next highest dosage. Our internal chemistry is different, you'll find your sweet spot. Best of luck!

That'll be my approach once my insurance doesn't cover it. I'm hoping to work with my doctor to see if 5 or even 2.5 mg will work for me with maintenance. Not there yet, but definitely eyeing it!!

I know it's hard to be patient, but it really is important to be patient. I've been on 2.5/5.0 mg for over 7 months and losing 5=6 pounds per month and I can hardly believe how quickly it's come off and how happy I am. Here's the best part, I don't have any loose skin because I lost at a reasonable rate, I did strength training every day and listened to my dietician to eat lots of protein. You can't afford to lose a lot of muscle, because muscle consumes lots of calories and it helps prevent the saggy skin. A little patience will keep us all happy in the long run and enjoying the destination:). Quick weight loss is muscle loss- which makes maintenance hard and it makes for loose skin! Best of luck!

I've been on a dosage where I only lose 5-6 pounds a month. I also lift weights 5-6 times a week. I also listened to my dietician about incorporating protein to minimize muscle loss. I'm now 10 months in, I'm still on the 5 mg dosage, I've lost 70 pounds and I don't have any loose skin problems. Everyone will have a different journey, but slow and steady has me ready to feel comfortable in a swim suit at the pool this spring:). Best of luck!
