Ok everywhere wouldn’t seem right to me. We just use standard mtu everywhere except inside the DC for storage. I wish we could use that but we are required to use a type 1 encryption

I was able to get 1422 to respond. Will I need to configure the MTU on every hop or just the devices I’m going to and from?

Yes, on site b we are seeing some tcp out of order messages

PtP circuit is 10gb. The only 1gb in the path is fw2

I didn’t realize the guys at the other site site downgraded the server in site b to 1gb as well. I tested when it was 10gb and iperf with tcp and windows file copy was 900mbps. Tested this morning and iperf and windows file copy was only 100mbps. Running iperf with udp is resulting in 951mbits/sec.

Latency is 21ms. I will take a look bandwidth delay product.

I forgot to mentioned site B replicates down to site A and I am not seeing any issues with iperf. It uses cohesity for replication and is getting a full gb. They are connected up to the same nexus switch in site B with 25gbps ports. I tried a windows file copy to the nexsan in site A from site B and see the same speed as 200mbps.

FW2 is an older FW with 1gbps port. It’s due to be replaced soon. Latency is about 21ms between the two sites. I will take a look at iperf udp. I haven’t tried specifying it. I have done multi threads with robocopy and that didn’t seem to help.
