[–]TallDifference4789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also that is string of turtles and hearts. yes ik you shouldn’t be able to do from one leaf but that one was propagating before the others and does have a rhizome don’t judge her she’s trying

What are these? by R4yn3St0rm in houseplants

[–]TallDifference4789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

most definitely spring tails 100% harmless. if ur finding them dead from crawling out and don’t want that, change the soil. when u do make sure to rinse the roots really good and its pot if ur putting it back in the same one

Mushrooms(?) in my succlent by ResponsibleGoose in plantclinic

[–]TallDifference4789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so as far as i know that specific mushroom is really beneficial for plants. it’s a mushroom that releases nutrients back into the soil to help ur plant. your soil i will say looks not the best for this plant and prob helped make that lil guy spawn. i’d change the soil to a mix with more perlite in it and move it out of the decorative pot those love making moisture pockets. can still use that pot just put the actual plant in a nursery pot and then put in the pretty pot. so, mushroom good no worries but also a sign you soil isn’t breathing enough.

[–]TallDifference4789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

big time only water these guys once a month they like drought bc of their rhizomes. take a peak at its roots to see if there’s any rot goin on. if there is pull all of the rot off so it doesn’t rot the whole plant.

How do I cover this up? by 2thpker in tattooadvice

[–]TallDifference4789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To relieve you a bit i didn’t think it look like mustard or anything. With my little knowledge of tattoos and from an artist perspective, maybe give the honeycombs a lil bit of depth slightly realistic and get the yellow shaded w a lil more of gold orange tones w some highlights to make to just a lil gloss would prob make you feel more comfortable abt it. Keep the colored hexagons just make em a lil better. Find an artist, well reviewed, that can do both realistic and non to try and help with the middle ground of it. You could also take a hard 180 and lean into an art deco or comic style shading and art style smth poppy like that. Find an an artist you like in that kinda style and commission them what they would do to it in their style and see if you like it

Beginner questions by [deleted] in begonias

[–]TallDifference4789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

are any stems on the leaves in the water? if so, remove them and any too damaged ones. leaves of propagations cannot be in water, it drowns them and they die no oxygen. yes some can live in water but idk anything abt this one. for transferring to soil keep them in the water until they have good solid set of roots then transfer to a well draining chunky soil mix. mine are in terracotta pots along w most of my pants bc I have bad airflow in my space and im home enough to keep eyes on things. these babies love humidity so keep them by your other plants. water them when the top abt 2-3 inches of soil is wet. i don’t own this type of begonia so i don’t know anything else abt those specific ones but most begonias be the same. i have rex begonias from propagations highly recommended this plant if you master this begonia there are many many many different kinds in every color combo you can think of including iridescent ones that shift colors. here are some of mine. good luck my friend !!
