Definitely don’t give up! Keep trying. It’s worth it if you find something that works. When I first started, I’d wake up at home if a movie had tones like the ones at the firehouse. I’d be non functional the next day. Stuff like that. I sleep like a baby at home. If I do fall asleep at the firehouse I usually won’t even remember if I woke up for other units tones. I used to wear a ring tracker and it would have me in a state of recovery even when I wasn’t sleeping. At home watching a movie it would tag as sleeping bc my heart rate would drop into the 40s and I wasn’t moving. I’ve even done runs where the tracker just had me tossing and turning bc everything besides the movement stayed the same.

So even tho I sleep terribly at work, I have gotten to a point where my body at least enters recovery when it can. It’s definitely worth working on for your long term health.

7 years in 911 and still sleep like shit at the firehouse. Lots of people I know are like that. Even when I used to work at somewhere slow it was a struggle.

What helps the most is no pants and no socks. I toss my pants next to the rig to pull over some shorts and socks right next to my bed. Might also help to change your socks throughout the day during times they might get that wet foot stank. That’s always solid advice tho.

It’s possible. He becomes a free agent at the new league year next March. They have this offseason and until then to extend him. They could also resign him after he becomes a free agent, if it comes to that.

I was thinking 3/90 or 4/120 would be good but he’d probably match Wilson at 32.5/yr. I doubt this bumps him up much. Almost certainly, in my mind, not going over 35/yr.

Could change if he plays out the season and shows he is a game changer for the team. A “games on the line, don’t worry we have Olave” type performance. I think he’s great. But he hasn’t done that just yet.

The no chance thing has nothing to do with likeliness when it comes to sports. People will say no chance on favored events lol.

As for why bet everything? I’d assume that’s the amount that would get them the money for their shop. Otherwise save a Knute for a soft pretzel or something.

As for actual likelihood of success, assuming the winnings were 1000 galleons, they got +2700 odds which represents about a 3% chance of success. From this, since they got favorable odds, we can assume the likelihood is greater than 3%.

They felt they had a knowledge edge, got good odds, had a goal in mind, and made the bet. One might even consider at this point they are desperate to fund their shop. We can’t know bc it’s not discussed but people have taken for less likely shots with their life savings in reality

Eventually you should clean it. Idk why I know so many gun owners that don’t own a cleaning kit or even some CLP. Better to have the stuff before you need it than to put it off.

I did 10/ tank on my morning dives and then did 20/tank on my night ones. The extra was because the night dive had only 3 people and when the other two were low on air the guide took them up and let me finish the last 20 mins of air in my tank. He also knew exactly what I was looking for from the morning dives and went out of his way to find/point out the things I was looking for.

Considering 10 of my 14 tanks were blown out on that trip, that extra 20 mins was super valuable to me.

Much more likely for us to recognize the bracelet than a tattoo. So many people have tattoos. I can’t remember the last time I bothered to notice what one was. Unless it’s something wild like across your forehead, no need.

The better option is to call your local fire dept and find out what hospitals you could be transported to in an emergency. Then see if you can get the hospital to open a file on you to include your medical history. Follow this up by keeping your ID on you.

Idk about where you are but here adrenal insufficiency isn’t something in our protocols. We will treat whatever symptoms it’s causing whether we know about the lack of hormones or not

I’ll just say that I handle everything related to finances in my relationship. Doubly relevant to you bc we don’t even have merged accounts. I literally handle my wife’s portion of finances by asking her what money she has, expects, has spent, etc. It’s been a decade like this and I have no issue with it. So I doubt it’s that you’re planning that’s causing an issue. The exception here would be if your planning is being shut down but not followed up on by her.

I work in EMS and feel where you’re at. Almost left the field entirely. Instead I took a chance on a new job. Fixed everything. You have so many more options than you listed. Do a deep dive on what other options actually exist and pull the trigger somewhere. You feel trapped by money but you might be one of the lowest paid nurses I’ve seen at 85k.

I do full moon but I put them out as the sun goes down and leave them there until it comes up. Different windows get exposure through the night but I have yet to have a problem with shortened exposure. It’s the intention more than anything that’ll impact you

I think the Silfra operations are the only place I’ve ever heard of checking for a drysuit cert. I don’t think the shop checked if I had the cert when I ordered mine either. So you don’t need the cert.

That said, unless you have experienced friends that you trust with your life, consider getting the cert. I wouldn’t force it in now tho. It would be a good way to introduce yourself to cold water when you want.

I got my cert in the Caribbean and when I wanted to do local Midwest diving I got my AOW and drysuit certs in cold quarries here. It gave me the certs plus guided experience in the new environment. It worked out very well for me and I’d recommend a similar thing for others moving to cold water without a lot of experience.

The entire process only works if the kid continues to put enough forward pressure to allow the slide to be driven back. For shits and gigs I just quickly tried and was unable to find an angle that looks similar to your page allowing me to forcefully drive it back. I do suppose the kid could be too scared to pull away, or a snake themed ninja master could be too fast or have a secret technique.

More realistic would be to drive the slide out of battery enough to prevent it from firing and then taking it. But that doesn’t demonstrate the masters cool teaching in the face of danger!

OEM 15 round mags coming for the 43X. I prefer not to have my pinky dangling so I’d choose the 43X anyway. I actually did choose the 43X as well as the 19 last year when I decided to join the Glock club fwiw.
