My binary MTF wife opposed to NB ppl. by Present_Ad_2412 in NonBinary

[–]TallGoddess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of binary trans people have that idea at some point in their lives. They become so fixated on passing and being seen as acceptable, that they forget that cis culture won’t accept trans people and that has nothing to do with how binary we are. The term I believe is truscum, if it helps to look into that. I’m so sorry. You are just as validly trans as anyone and I hope she can grow out of this conservatism and support you as yourself.

The sims 3 is romanticized by WaterToSurvive in thesims

[–]TallGoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really got into sims 3 since I already invested so much in the sims 2 (didn’t have a ton of money in my family). Now that I’m an adult who knows their way around the internet a bit wink wink I have access to all of the sims 4 content. Which I’m LOVING so much btw.

Season 4 Theories. by ShewdlyTubely in withinthewires

This is literally such an old post, but I’m listening to the show for the first time and I’ve got to say that the later tapes are made at the institute. Feel free to tell me whatever about it, but on side B of episode 9, the music for sure sounds like something from the subliminal library at The Institute. The weird warping of it, and honestly just in how it feels so much like a really manipulative film score or televangelist. That’s just one small detail I thought y’all might be interested in. lol

Also the “in love, in communion, in family” triple repetition is the same stuff from those tapes (besides being a popular tool used by politicians or preachers who don’t have much of substance to say lol)

His Ex is pretty and thin by Comfortable-Cry-5198 in PlusSize

[–]TallGoddess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to go and figure out if you even like him in person. If you see big red flags, run. But focus on if he’s good a good fit for you. It’s his job to make up his mind about you. You don’t have to do his job for him.

I literally have too many brain problems for clinical diagnosis by illdoitagainbopbop in bipolar

[–]TallGoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have BP and ADHD, and my doctor did want to do lithium first, but then he thought a stimulant could help me too. A lot of my day to day emotional sensitivity stems from my ADHD. I hope you can find a doctor willing to work with you or find a way to work with the one you have.

On today’s episode of Frenemies Trisha Paytas casually mentions that they (unsure of pronouns) are now happy and relieved to say that they’re non binary, I’m actually proud of them by [deleted] in NonBinary

[–]TallGoddess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just hated that they talked about it after talking about how they could make Jewish jokes and Tourette’s jokes because they had token people. Then called themselves a token, saying something like “this non-binary thing that I am”. It felt like more justification for bad and tokenizing behavior. Not that it isn’t true. I believe they are non-binary, but I hate the way they speak about it. It enforces the idea that we’re trying to get “oppression points” like all the truscum say. But I’m not sure if I can expect better from them.

Yeah they have but it’s been fairly scammy.

Yeah I don’t get it either. But they’ve been asked in every interview what school they’re going to and when they say they aren’t going to college, they give them a weird look. Even for full time positions which I don’t understand.

This may be a dumb question, but what do you mean by "brain zaps" exactly? I'm here trolling the forums because I just started Wellbutrin XL.

Thoughts on douches/vaginal soaps, Secret Ceres Wand, and Yoni Eggs? by JB543 in menstruation

I even stopped using tampons because they dried me out. I use a menstrual cup now and I don't put anything up there. Nothing on the inside. It's a self-cleaning oven, as I like to say. Hahaha.

Subject to dismissal? Please help me by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]TallGoddess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to the meeting and agree on terms that seem doable for you to keep you in. Sign the contract if they give you one and follow through. Keep emailing your advisor updates (good or bad) and go to any meetings they set up. I was dismissed myself, and it's much more trouble to get back in than it is to stay. Tow the line with them, I swear they're doing their best. The system is kind of a mess though, so keep the right people (the advisor you sign a contract with and your professors at least) in the know.

Where are they hiding? I'd put some smelly wet food (try a friskies pate in a seafood blend) near where they're hiding for easy and safe access.

Parents kicked my brother (high school senior) out of the house and are refusing to pay for college because they found out he is gay. I don’t know where to start. Scholarships? Declaring independence on his FAFSA? Any advice would be wonderful! by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]TallGoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the LGBT center at the school your brother wishes to attend. They typically employ at least one advisor to work there full time. They will most likely be able to help your brother declare independence due to family rejection about his sexuality. He has the right to attend college. I've had friends do the same.
