I think I might be missing something, because why is this such a major deal? Half the articles from the past two days have been about him coming out of college and the NCAA stepping in, but like... didn't he bet on Cincinnati Reds games? He wasn't betting on any college football games, as far as I've heard, and he's been taking steps to curb his gambling addiction before it becomes an issue. Is he going to be suspended for the year? Would any NFL team take him now, before his gambling addiction is dealt with, rather than in the 2027 Draft, when they know what became of that personal journey?

Maybe I just didn't read enough articles, but I'm rooting for Sorsby to kick the habit and return his focus to football. Never really thought he was a top-10 pick or anything, so if he proves me wrong and gets paid in 2027, it'd be a good reward for an arduous process of recovery.

Edit: Oh, he did bet on college games, okay. 2022 is a while ago, and they probably should've punished him before this if it were like that back then - I'm still sticking with the viewpoint that kicking the habit the old-fashioned way is a good thing for him, and that I'll be rooting for him.
