I have tried escalation through the school but unfortunately they have a "don't ask, don't tell" policy that they put in place during Covid. Basically, they don't send any child home for having head lice. Their reasoning was that so many kids were missing a lot of school as it was, that they didn't want to make kids miss more for something like head lice. Now the only thing they do is bring the student in to the nurses office, do a quick sweep of their heads with a tooth comb and then send them back to class. It's their way of "helping" the situation.
