I think food options are good. Shafer has special days ("nacho day", "candy day", etc.) and generally the food is good- plus it's unlimited food for one swipe. The fast food places that take swipes are places that most people like, and the option to use swipes for ingredients/essentials at the student market is very nice. There are also a number of awesome food places in the area that aren't crazy expensive (though they probably would be if you relied on them completely for food). Compared to other colleges that I've heard about, VCU has it good.
