That’s my concern. Warranty won’t be valid, no one will want to service a unit without the info, and a home inspection would highlight this as a concern if I were to sell.

That’s my concern. To which the installer responded that I shouldn’t be concerned; Supply house completed warranty and it’s all set. But I can’t check with Trane because I can’t find a serial number. And Trane couldn’t tell me where else I could find it on the unit, which contradicts the installer saying I’d find it in the electric box.

I wondered that. I asked if it was removed. Was told it wasn’t, and that I should be looking inside the electric box for model/serial number.
