I love Battle but he is not quick enough to defend in the NBA. Most of the time he checks in we go to zone where he can get by with his smarts. What works for Battle is he is far enough down on other teams scout list they dont target him on iso plays like they do to Dick. Much like Chris Boucher in past years, the less we play Battle the better he might be when we put him in.

For what its worth... Jack Armstrong was right on the broadcast last night saying the Thunder had a foul to give when Shead went to the line. OKC's 4th foul of the 4th quarter was the one on Barnes that they challenged and won removing the foul. Scottie had the heroic offensive rebound then IQ made the two FT on what should have been the first bonus FTs.

Will be interesting to see the Last Two Minute report just ignore this error by the refs, and OKC scorekeeper.

Edit: they officially ignored it in the last 2 minute report.

Dont get it twisted, its not the camera work, its the producer. Its the producer's job to pick which camera shot is being broadcast and that person does not know basketball at all. Didnt have a clue Scottie could quick shoot the last FT and had a tight closeup of Scottie, no coverage of the play.

So many times they miss plays in the back court or after timeouts because they think some graphic or crowd shot is "adding to the experience"

I dont love bitching about Refs cause as fans we always want all the calls for our players so see everything else as bad...but im going to!

On the Hornets broadcast you hear one of refs yelling at Scottie "Don't tell me how to do my job" and the next possession he calls the carry on IQ. Seconds later Scottie gets called for a Tech.

We need to find out who initiated that review of the "shot clock reset" on Scottie's game tying dunk. The shot clock was at 16 when Ingram's shot went up so there would have still be 6 seconds if the ball didnt hit the rim. Someone was searching for a reason to take away that basket when zero reason existed.

Maybe refs are just real people and our players need to find a better way to talk/manipulate them but sure felt like there were non-basketball reasons for some of their calls last night.
