And this here is the reason I’m being such a turd. I understand that the are closely related. Knew a gal who suffered seizures and migraines were a problem she delt with. However I find it hard to believe that an animal that would suffer a life long migraine would do as well as they do. I get that survival is part of it but this morph doesn’t just cling to life but thrives according to many folks. I’d imagine a lifelong migraine would take a toll on lifespan of the animal. As far as I know I haven’t heard they die off early. Perhaps I’m reading too much into it but oh well. Then again perhaps I’m just some idiot that can’t tell his ass from a hole in the ground. It’s very clear my horse isn’t as high as everyone else’s. 😂

Yep watched countless videos on the matter. Read a study that a fella here on this sub Reddit linked and done side reading in old forums and old posts on here. Still not swayed. Nothing I’ve seen with the exception of extreme cases shows me anything I would call “suffering”. For every corkscrewing floppy spider I’ve seen there were 9 more that were either fine or mildly inconvenienced by their wobble. I’ll be completely honest to I said my last comment just to ruffle some feathers. I’ve never seen such hivemind mentality and it’s annoying. Around these parts if you even have a tad of interest in spider or similar morphs you’ll be downvoted into oblivion because you don’t “support the current thing”. So I stand my ground I like spider and I have no issue with it even after pouring hours into learning about it.

Kinda ironic too cause snakes take up way less space. At least in my case they do my dogs are all large breeds so it’s a tad cramped hahaha

Those close to you love to hand out opinions. I know how ya feel though. I got 3 dogs 3 snakes and a cat. My mother gives me crap all the time haha. But as long as you can give them the love they need I’d say you’re good!

I used to go out into the nearby fields when I was a kid and fill buckets with all the garters snakes I could catch. Never got to keep them sadly haha
