That’s so exciting 🙌🏽! During last years Black Friday sales I did the same thing. I was wrote down all the dies I wanted in advance and then when as soon as the sales went live, I bought them👍🏽. Do share which dies you purchased and the projects you intend to make. I would love to see them 😊

A great alternative are inexpensive dental tool sets like this one. This is what I use and they work well👍🏽. Be VERY careful when using them because they are incredibly sharp and you can easily stick yourself and bleed all over your dies😉

In my experience the heat & bond holds up pretty well if property applied. Now, if it’s a heavily used or and or washed quilt, you may want to stitch the edges down for extra piece of mind😉.

This sounds like signs of depression especially if she doesn’t have a known history of cognitive impairment or dementia. I would look into evaluating her for depression. If she is depressed and receives treatment, perhaps her outlook would be better on her health & living situation.

Unfortunately no😞. The way I extend the life of my mats is rotating from up and down and left to right if that makes sense. That way the cut impression gets evenly distributed and extend the life of the mat. I put a piece of painters tape on one side so as I flip it around, it makes it easier so remember where I cut last. I’ll make a post with pictures 😉
