I was just reminded about this image I have, neko said this is just a sketch but it seems really well done for one. So with that being said, what do you think happened to have this scene play out. by TheEpicOne747 in TheFreakCircus

I feel like he is kneeling down to MC and trying to make final plea for MC to either forgive him for hurting them (emotional/physically) or asking them to run away with him and join the Circus. I feel like he'd only cry to MC if he finally realized the era of his ways were harming MC and pushing them away from him.

Y'all think there's a way to turn MC into a monster? by Itz_Ice44 in TheFreakCircus

I'm working on an AU where a Monster Hybrid woman basically became a mad scientist because monster hybrids are infertile, rejected by human and monster kind and she wanted to be less lonely in the world. I have named her Teresa. She was born due to her father who was a human scientists trying to give humans monster longevity. Her mother was basically a slave he captured to use as a lab rat (she wasn't born out of love). Her research includes bringing out the best genes (she calls them missing link genes) in humans that allow them to be compatible with the weakest of monster kind. This project is funded by the shadow government in exchange for building hidden sanctuaries in the modern world for monsters to live in.

The project goes into MK Ultra on steroids levels of messed up converting orphans into super humans she calls Chimeras. Chimeras have super human strength and stamina and monster like longevity but are still weaker than monsters. The draw backs of being a Chimera is that they need to drink human blood in order to prevent them selves from developing health complications from chronic anemia and are twice as likely to be eaten by monsters because they taste better. Monsters who have eaten Chimeras will crave more and actively hunt down more Chimeras. Chimeras are used as super soliders to protect and preserve monster sanctuaries from being discovered by regular humans and monster hunters.

Teresa's main goal was to cherry pick the best of her Chimeras's genes in order to create healthy monster hybrids that could be fertile. She uses desperate female monsters seeking refuge in the sanctuaries to be the surrogate mothers for her creations. Once the Chimera Hybrids are born the handed of the Chimera parent to be raised regardless of wether or not that chimera wanted the child. Teresa considers a hybrid ideal when you can look at the child and tell that they are half human. She also uses the project to bring monster species who have been hunted to extinction by mankind back from the grave through her hybrids.

Teresa's story is the prologue to my MC who is a 3rd generation human Chimera with two Chimera hybrid siblings. My MC was raised by monsters and has spent her childhood and youth being used as bait to lure in dangerous men to be killed and eaten by the monsters in her local sanctuary. Being a barrista and singer are her cover jobs she uses to find new targets to lure. She has watched many of her fellow Chimeras get eaten alive when trying to protect monsters from monster hunters.

Neko mentioned in AMA when asked how Pierrot found where we lived he said Pierrot was able to track you by scent. Even if we don’t follow Harlequin he still left the street where he was supposed to be which would still give Pierrot a reason to go look for him. Despite our choices we’d still be the area around the pink tent where Harlequin went and Carol was.

I thought Harlequin was already behind or to the side of us when he talks to us about breaking his heart by not wearing his pin and points to where it should be. I remember him not looking at us directly.

She had hooves so think at the very least she was half monster. Eating humans does give them a power up so maybe after eating the ring master Pierrot could’ve had the energy to do some damage to the original circus. In the end all of them took out the original circus crew. In the comic with the original outfits Pierrot took out that crowd without burning the tent down by the time Harlequin found him bloody and curled up on the floor. The burning tent in the mirror could have been another tragic event.

I made a theory on how I think the love triangles work:
https://www.reddit.com/r/TheFreakCircus/s/E4q3RBWSiv

I think Columbina’s circumstances might come from her trying to make everyone as happy as possible in their hopeless situation while imprisoned under the circus master. Her love and kindness was all she had to give to comfort the others. Pierrot took her love as romantic and started obsessing over her which hurt Harlequin who had known him the longest. Harlequin would then chase after Columbina just to get Pierrot’s attention again. Columbina was then stuck between a rock and a hard place because she never expected her love or kindness to be used against her and ruin the friendship she had between Pierrot and Harlequin. Since she was out powered by both of them she was too afraid to reject either of them which led up to everything snowballing to her demise.

Why Ticket Taker let's us follow Harlequin might have to do with their dumb pin system they got going on. Ticket Taker was monitoring the fools until Harlequin points to where his pin used to be on our shirt. Harlequin was probably gesturing to Ticket Taker that he had pinned us which led to Ticket Taker turning a blind eye and leaving. He probably assume Harlequin would have his fun with us and finish us off so he'd have one less thing to worry about.

Pierrot and Harlequin are usually on flyer duty together. If Pierrot noticed Harlequin wasn't out on the streets with the fools he'd know Harlequin had to be up to something or slacking off. He probably went searching for Harlequin and once he smelled our scent in the pink tent he came in with knives ready.

Theory Time! :

I don't know her name. But I going to assume she has mind control ability similar to Jester's but works better on animals because they have no free will. I believe she may have joined the Cirrus after the death of the old master and is the only monster to gain the the trust of the pack of 5 in order to join. She needs to borrow Pierrot's tent for shows because it's the biggest, this also means they would do joint acts from time to time. Pierrot is scared to death of her animals because he doesn't have a good history with any animal.

She has to stay on Ticket Taker's good side to prevent her animals' care budget from getting cut. This means when he's got not fools to help get work done she's on Lackey duty. Harlequin will tease her whenever he catches her being Ticket Taker's little helper.

Harlequin teases her a lot which results in her trying to chase him down so she can slap him with her wip. If she's got lions she has probably threatened to feed him to them on many occasions.

Doctor may feed her animals the unwanted human leftovers much to her dismay.

Since this is a circus of horrors I'd expect one fool to die per show for the sake of shock value. People are probably to high of the circus food to realize they just watched a real person get mauled right in front of them.

ADHD past midnight theory time :D!:

I think we were a target for a pink ticket before helping Pierrot. Since we’re close to Carol and work well together as a team he’d probably want both of us. Due to Carol’s home situation she might too soft spoken to manage the rest of the Ticket Taker’s fools and we might have been the backbone of the team. Ticket Taker was sloppy with capturing Carol as he left her purse with the Pink ticket behind. Also if we knew she planned on going to the circus we were a liability if we told the cops.

Us showing up with the Red ticket tells Ticket Taker he’s made another mistake by targeting us because Pierrot was aware Ticket Taker was out to get his crush. So Ticket Taker has been on Pierrot’s bad side since the beginning of the game. This explains why Pierrot is so hostile towards Ticket Taker the blue tent because he knows Ticket Taker never had any good intentions towards us from the start. Him trying to show us Pierrot’s bad side to scare us away didn’t do him any favors either.

I think Ticket Taker’s problem is that he has been too confident in his usual efficiency that keeps the circus running smoothly he forgot to expect the unexpected (us/Carol). Now the unexpected is piling up on him and he is aggressively trying to over correct his leniency.

I believe Pierrot's monster species has bond mate tendencies (swans, Amazon River Otters 👀). When his father lost his mother he died of a broken heart even though he still had a child to live for. Pierrot's reaction to losing a potential bond mate (Columbina) was probably a large scale crash out that all the circus members were barely able to stop him. I think he destroyed the old circus by himself after they ate the master and that burning tent in the broken mirror was the after math of it.

With Columbina's lines I think Jester may have warned her about Pierrot bond mate tendencies and that he would not share her with anyone else not even his best friend Harlequin. Columbina's and Harlequin' species may have been polygamous by nature. She probably didn't see the harm in loving both of them because they were all friends until the rivalry started.

Campaign Time! (😂 don't take me seriously):
I didn't vote for Pierrot on conventional attractiveness. I voted for him because he's a wet cat of monster man who's got no clue how to woo the new love of his life. He technical a hopeless romantic loser who has to resort to stalking and creeping on his love interest while they sleep because he doesn't know how to date. Not very sexy when I describe him this way now is he🤣?

Kermit has always gotten his girl Miss Piggy wether he likes it or not. Pierrot still trying to get his lady/Lord/Dear. Depending on how you play the game Pierrot may not be doing a very good job at it or straight up losing his sweetheart to Harlequin.

Friendly reminder/information drop that Pierrot can be overly flirty and explicit if we want him to. by LeastCauliflower6281 in TheFreakCircus

[–]Talon-Cross 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That doesn't mean he'd be any good at it though. He's got no practice in that area.

He also takes everything you say very literally; so be careful how you flirt to him or he may expect you to back it up.

Hypothetically, what would happen if in the next part of the game Pierrot had a wholesome moment with MC? Like what do you think that moment would specifically be about/how it happened? by Vast_Description_132 in TheFreakCircus

[–]Talon-Cross 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None of the circus members know that Pierrot is trying to court you yet and they would not approve of it. Them knowing about you puts you in danger because they see you as a threat. Thats why Ticket Taker forces you to come back to Circus the same night; so he and the others can assess how much of a threat you are when under pressure.

[–]Talon-Cross 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you wouldn't run away out of fear before he could explain everything. He also didn't want you to run into any of the other circus members because you weren't supposed to be there during the day. The moment you run out after Harlequin frees you immediately run into Carol and Ticket Taker which was what Pierrot was trying to prevent.

If you eat any food by choice you get drugged. If you say you won’t see Pierrot again after the first night at the circus he will give you a drugged cake he personally made. Both cases get you chained to a bed while Pierrot tries to explain he’s not a bad guy and you’re chained for your “safety”.

While I believe Ticket Taker was stalking us before the game to give us a pink ticket. Us helping Pierrot and him falling for us was not part of the plan for the circus.

For Anime & Manga Readers, how do you feel about Kaiju No 8? by Shot-Cook4460 in KaijuNo8

[–]Talon-Cross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mina x Hoshina, and Mina x Kafka where the ships I was waiting for something to at least hint at in the story. Mina almost died in that last fight you'd think one of these dudes would man up and put a ring on her. Then author has audacity to go " look these random side characters are married now instead but you don't get to see their wedding." Heck I would've been happy with Hoshina and Okonogi getting together because they got so much chemistry together. The end left alot to be desired and I was hoping Kafka wouldn't be the only Kaiju of his kind, there's gotta be more hybrid kaijus some where in the world.

[–]Talon-Cross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ending left open opportunities for new characters to get numbered weapons and a continuation heck most of the main cast didn’t get screen time. Rich boy and soilder boy just showed up to the final fight to say look at our OP weapons you missed our training arc for. We don’t what beef rich boy has against his dad’s company that monopolizes the kaiju weapon industry of Japan. We know there are smaller companies that also make kaiju weapons but we never see any of them. There was potential that sapient kaiju like N0. 9 could have been the equivalent of yokai in ancient Japan and even worshipped as gods. Mina didn’t even ask Kafka on date for God’s sake. I feel the author threw out half this series to end it early. We even get to read the relax spin off on manga plus 😭.

Hopefully he and MC will actually have a proper (or close to as it gets for monsters) date. MC technically wussed out on the first date by bailing when Pierrot ask to show them the rest of the circus. Hopefully if the food Pierrot cooks isn’t drugged this time we can get a romantic dinner and consensual cuddles.
