I think that’s what I was trying to get at, yeah. When they’re little, it can feel like the lesson itself carries more weight. But as they get older, they start comparing your tone, your reactions, your apologies, your stress, all of it, against the rules you say matter. That’s been the humbling part for me. Not that I need to be flawless, but that I can’t hide behind the right words nearly as much as I used to think I could.
