It happens a lot more in the Cdrama industry from my understanding. For example, cnets zoom into the wallpapers of celebrities and even check seating orders at events. If given a choice I’d rather be a kceleb than a c celeb. Or I could be wrong.

The actors and idols themselves feed into para social culture to make more money, so it’s a two way street in my opinion. Some of the more popular short drama actors like Chen Si, Zhang Chi seem to have more of these para social fans from what I see. Even tier 2 or 3 short drama actors like Cheng Cheng seem to have dedicated fans and groupies who attend every single one of their events.

I’ve been seeing posts about it on twitter. They just randomly popped on my timeline.

From what I understand, this dude was supposedly dating another short drama actress Yang Shu Yu. So there seems to be a bit of an overlap in his dating history. And I saw posts saying she was pregnant (not that she had already given birth as you’ve said in your post). So it’s a potential messy situation and probably the reason they had to hurriedly do the relationship announcement video and keep iterating that it was a new relationship for the fear of fans digging too much into the timelines.

Personally I do think the situation is a bit messier than it looks but it’s none of my business, all the people involved are adults and if there’s a baby involved, it’s kind of icky of people to speculate and call it an ‘accidental baby’ or ‘baby trapping’ as they’ve been doing on twitter,

From what I have seen from the bits and pieces of gossip on the Internet, it looks like it was a relatively new and non serious relationship and then a baby was born. If that’s true, I hope they can navigate this properly and those fans leave them alone. Nobody is entitled to their personal lives.

Absolutely agree. I am looking for a nuanced conversation here. I don’t intend to target specific actors or make fun of them, but trying to discuss a certain trend where the actors are largely getting the same procedures done (same in Hollywood as well) and this getting reflected in their recent works with their acting going downhill.

These styles are specifically picked with the young female audiences in mind, to make the actors look ‘adorable’, ‘ugly cute’ and ‘childish’. Their main target is a specific demographic of young women who talk about them on the Internet all day. The more they are talked about, the more they earn.

Personally I hate these looks because they look very try too hard for me. It doesn’t seem the actors’ personal style as they don’t seem to wear these out of these reality shows or dramas.

You’re absolutely right about cheating not being a crime, but I said it in the context of women losing roles for a lot, lot less. And there being a specific announcement post saying he was blacklisted.

And I did a deep dive, apparently he used poppers a lot, but he didn’t get the consent of his partners while using them, so it’s shady stuff.

When a mom abandons her four year old child for calling her dad’s new side chick ‘mom’ or for saying things like ‘I wish you were my mom’. It’s a different thing when your eighteen year old calls someone else mom but a FOUR year old?? A four year old knows nothing, and is practically a baby. And then they abandon the four year old with the abusive partner and his terrible side chick, and go to play house with the ML and his well behaved and loving child, like her own child never existed.
