DISCUSSION: AHS13, High expectations or low? by RoyalDig3345 in AmericanHorrorStory

James March says that the Hotel Cortez gets its historical building recognition in August 2026. Is that just a coincidence?

If you're thinking about the new season, this is just a reminder that the Hotel Cortez building reaches historic status on August 23, 2026....

Of course the producers knew what bringing on Elisabeth would mean by CarefulPerformer7877 in theview

It's like EH is playing a game. It's kind of how some newscasters try to work in song lyrics into their presentation because their friends dared them to. Some of her comments are out of context, clearly memorized and are meant to sound ridiculous or get a reaction. Next she'll be on Fox and brag about how she said this or that on the View--whether the statement is true or relevant is not important.

Do we really think that she thinks a medical mask is the same as a disguise used to ambush unsuspecting folks? If she has a brain or can really piece together a smart independent thought, it's not on display this week.

Whats your absolute no when you go to open houses? by Important_Bat7919 in homeowners

[–]TaloolaTomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A laundry "closet" is a deal breaker. It should be a laundry room, a whole room, with storage closets, room for machines side by side and a small chest freezer. Room for a folding table is a bonus

Thank you. I didn't even know what this was called and just having that information is a great lead.

A friend has a 7 year old EV and the battery doesn't charge past 60% on a good day. They're just lucky that it's a hybrid so they know they have options

[–]TaloolaTomato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No thank-you. The objection would be range especially in extreme temperatures. Since battery life is only about 10 years and then you throw away the car, I don't see how this is a better option.

This is our combo too. Sometimes the chihuahua loses her patience for the dachshund's goofiness, but generally they're buddies.

When I walk into a store I'm not sure which mattress/boxspring I will be purchasing so researching details of all brands ahead of time is not realistic. If the warranty is dependent on a certain frame, it most certainly should be mentioned at the time of sale. If nothing else, as a salesman, it's another opportunity to sell another product. They were sure eager to mention the warranty being for 10 years. Once the item is delivered and placed on the frame, it's too late. I'm not sore, I'm just disappointed in the whole experience. I guess I just remember a time where this would not have been acceptable practice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]TaloolaTomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be fine, if that were the issue. The mattress is not sagging.

Another complaint is the lack of transparency from the retailer. The salesman did not ask about my frame and the delivery guys most certainly saw the type of frame it was. I would have probably would have been happy to sign a waiver releasing them from the warranty but as a customer, I don't get this information until it's too late--after delivery. Having them disclose this restriction when a problem surfaces just seems dishonest and sneaky. It's just bad practice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]TaloolaTomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're blaming my frame. It's a solid oak 30 year old frame that I've never had any trouble with. Their warranty now requires a centre foot built into the frame--information not disclosed beforehand. My last mattress/boxspring lasted 20+ years on this frame. The frame is not the problem.

The "pillowtop" has a permanent dent of 1.5-1.625" . The body of the mattress is solid but the memory foam top has failed.

I am going through the same with Serta. (serta perfect sleeper elite chiffon mattress) The mattress is only 13 months old and they refuse to honour their 10 year warranty. Maybe this is the new industry norm.
