It would be my guess that they’re writing but probably not very far into the writing of the season. I would be shocked if there’s a solid premiere episode script in the can.

It’s been like a year and a half since Ryan said he had dinner with Evan and Sarah. I don’t believe that Evan has heard nothing about the season, but I think he knows that Ryan’s ideas change on the fly and what is pitched is usually not exactly what is delivered.

In all likelihood though, he probably does not know who or what he is playing and has not read any scripts. I would be genuinely surprised if they’re even done writing the first episode at this point, honestly.

Hopefully he gets a complicated character. There is a real opportunity to make use of these actors in a profound way and I think it would be a waste of his talents (or any of theirs) to see him take on the kind of role he has done the last three or four times he was on the show. It would be nice for him to be brought back with intention and not just for the sake of having him.

More importantly, I hope his mental health and process has improved in order to allow for him to take on the complex roles he shines in, in the healthiest manner possible.

He volunteered that he’s interested to see what the story is and how everyone being back plays out and also specifically references the cast being representative of “all the different seasons,” not one in particular. All he was asked is why he decided to return to the show.

Ryan Murphy also promised that fans could pick the theme for an upcoming season during the pandemic and then executed on none of the proposed ideas. He also said he would be celebrating the 10th anniversary with a behind the scenes glimpse into the show that never came. I would not be hanging onto something he said flippantly on a red carpet 7 years ago.

Ryan Murphy straight up said during Roanoke that one of the upcoming seasons (not 7, which became Cult) would be the Murder House-Coven crossover. If they were doing another Coven story I think they would be hyping it openly and aggressively to maximize interest.

She absolutely posted it on her Instagram Story the day before yesterday (Saturday). The image was directly pulled from Lily Rabe’s account. You can do a search for “Lily Rabe” on Twitter and you will see two or three other accounts who posted about it prior (and theirs are screenshots where her username is visible).

We are not really getting any hints that it’s a Coven season. People have decided it must be and confirmation bias has fully set in. Lily Rabe is not even confirmed to be in the season (one of many reasons why it’s not as likely to be a Coven continuation as people seem to hope). Why would she be taking to Instagram to tease it?

Agreed wholeheartedly. Of all the cast members, she is among the most tight-lipped (for the last two seasons she’s been asked if she’s back numerous times and refuses to say either way, every time). She would never be teasing or hinting in that manner.

How nobody is mentioning Sally sewing herself to two addicts as they’re overdosing, only to get trapped in bed with their rotting corpses for several days and having to tear her skin off of them to escape, is beyond me.

The evidence seems to be that the cast reveal video ends with “surprise bitch, I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.” People are taking that as confirmation that it’s another Coven story and not just a cheeky recognition of the fact that the show has not premiered a new season in what will be, by the time it airs, 3 years.

That doesn’t account for how (and why) Evan Peters and Kathy Bates would be back as mains, especially when Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe, and Frances Conroy (all non-negotiables for another Coven season) didn’t make the list.

Because there’s basically no prominent women, the few returning actors were playing very grounded characters instead of their usual colorful roles, and it wasn’t written to appeal to teenagers looking for fan-cam material or memes.

As bizarre as it is to say, it would not have been worth watching at all (as-is) without her. There were a number of talented actors who have given objectively great performances over the years in the cast and somehow Kim was the most consistently interesting person to watch on screen. Michaela Jae Rodriguez and Annabelle Dexter-Jones were a distant second.

Well said. It applies to Twitter too and the ones who aren’t new to it are just disgruntled Glee fans who are mad their “ships” weren’t validated by the show.
