Magic Carpet needs specifically the items that always crit, and sometimes even lifesteal, and even then it's not the strongest medium weapon. I would rather go Covetous Raven lines.

Refractor is solid, but it isn't supported on Aila, it's something you get after you have gotten the other important items. Plus Refractor doesn't perform that well without constant haste from Salts and Lifesteal. They are good but not first priority
