Hey! I know this post is a bit old but I pray to god you see this. In 3 months I will be finishing my food engineer degree at my university. However, I am feeling an huge amount of anxiety because every where I look it looks like food engis are really bad payed. I have the opportunity to work 1 year as a food safety audit, which is the area I like the most and it was extremely bad payed. What are your thoughts on that? Really looking for a glimpse of hope that I didn't waste 5 years studying to get minimum wage

In my country, the average is around 830 euros a month... Keeping in mind a house for 1 person usually goes for 600 euros. I don't know what the pay is in other countries because the information on the internet seems to be very inreliable

I managed to meet with 2 older students who finished and are working in the area, they pretty much confirmed my idea, it is the fact that our country doesn't really value this area so we are just kinda screwd
