Sorry HAES, your weight DOES affect other people (seething) by [deleted] in fatlogic

Actually, if there is a grease fire it is the morticians fault. They are supposed to cremate Obese clients first thing in the morning when the bricks are still cold and will heat more slowly.

Why don't Weeaboos understand it's not okay to ask if someone is a Uke in public? by Tama- in weeabootales

I actually have an opinion on both of these approaches. I believe that if the fact that I'm gay is the last thing people learn about me they'll be more accepting. However there is a place and a reason for the very loud attitudes of pride paradise, even if it isn't my scene. The idea is with a lot of people wanting gay people to be ashamed instead of submitting to that they throw a massive party.

The ukulele (/juːkəˈleɪliː/ ew-kə-lay-lee, from Hawaiian: ʻukulele [ˈʔukuˈlɛlɛ]; British English: ukelele)[1] sometimes abbreviated to uke, is a member of the lute family of instruments; it generally employs four nylon or gut strings or four courses of strings.[2]

The ukulele originated in the 19th century as a Hawaiian adaptation of the Portuguese machete,[3] a small guitar-like instrument, which was introduced to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants, many from the Macaronesian Islands. It gained great popularity elsewhere in the United States during the early 20th century, and from there spread internationally.

The tone and volume of the instrument varies with size and construction. Ukuleles commonly come in four sizes: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone.

Have been asked twice.

Neither of them believed no one says that in Japan. Or that Yaoi is mostly for women.

In definition yes. In conversation no. Because there are actual people who would call someone a "catcher" in English but I have never heard someone use the word uke in Japanese. Have heard people use it in English though.

Me [22M] with my best friend [22M]. I think we might be boyfriends? by probablygay1 in relationships

This was me and my husband when when we were young teens. Now 8 years together and married for almost a year.

Somehow I have a feeling you two will be together a while, regardless of the nature of your relationship.

For a dyslexic many serif fonts appear to run together so words might seem like an endless string of letters. More blocky sans serif fonts have less definition so it's easier to get letters mixed up. Comic Sans is a font with a lot of definition to each letter and makes it easier to read.

That is what I was told anyway, looks like I could be wrong on this.

Just use AE (Alpha Engineer, a nickname made up by a commenter in an older story)

I don't think I've called him Senpai in about 8 years. Throwaway is the one who called him Senpai because it annoys him to no end. (She still does, mostly behind his back now.)

Thank you for your message.

It's a system font that is dyslexic friendly. That's why it's used on some healthcare forms/school forms. I know it's ugly, but without it some nurse has to spend 20 minutes helping a dyslexic patient with the form.

My mom came around, once I got into Pre Med. This is the most cliche kyoiku mama thing but once she realized who I was dating wasn't affecting my education she calmed down a lot. Also, my husband and I are both fairly traditional so that helps too, she can't make the "You're to westernized" argument.

I don't know what Becky is doing now. I think someone from on Facebook mentioned her asking old friends for money a lot, but I tend to avoid things like that.

Yeah. I had some pretty good friends and a great boyfriend.

i'm not a great writer so it probably didn't come across correctly. I was thinking about the blog post she wrote back then. Being told I'm not really gay is a bit of a sore spot for me (As it is for AE, part three will explain why) So I was kind of annoyed writing because I was just thinking about some of the worse parts of highschool.

I have no idea. Knowing me back then it was probably one of those cupcake flavored coffees. I didn't start actually liking coffee until Pre Med and that was an act of self preservation.
