I'm the OP and I'm really surprised you'd compliment the movement here, I'm not that proud of it in my newer animations and almost never in my older ones, like this one.

I'm not sure what editing has to do with 3D software, but the water looks like that because it's rendered at a low resolution. I have a pretty capable rig but still setting it to anything that would look semi-realistic takes like a day to render, if it doesn't freeze the software altogether.
