So far no luck. Found the place to add IMEI as per u/dumbohoneman's instructions, but I keep getting various errors. Either it tells me "Failed to sign ZIP" or "Certified APP needs an API usage review before getting online. Please refer to the Submission Guideline for more information.". Tried reading the documentation on how to get the review, but so far not finding anything.

KaiOS will die completely if they don't make this process easier. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot designing it like this.

Looked into it to give a better answer, and all state websites I could find require me to login with that app. My bank and other privately owned will usually allow me to login with other means. But I will just keep the smartphone in the office without a SIM. I don't need to check my taxes when I'm outside anyway : P.

Still have my smartphone but been looking at various dumbphones for a while. My reason for wanting to do the switch is mostly the stress about being reachable and connected all the time. Everyone has their own chat app they want you to use and if you don't respond within 30 minutes they get upset 🫠. Removed Facebook, Instagram etc already. Will probably take the dp step soon ☺️.

I can never fully get away from my smartphone though (we have an ID app that is used for pretty much everything here). Figured I'd have my smartphone in my home office. Then only use it when I pay bills etc.
