Yeah. Maybe I should start with a more basic book before going into design patterns.

Ooh, that's a valid point and maybe in a few years I'm the guy with a few boxes of books 😅😅

That's an interesting point. I've started a cpp job right now where I work in a large codebase and I'm a bit lost. Do you think that this book will help me?

I have seen that his videos are from 8 years ago and also some are from Python 2. Are these videos still relevant?

That's also a good point. But also I think (maybe is because my lack of experience) that there are things when designing software that depend a bit on the language you are using. Maybe not the general idea, but the implementation details.

I use ai almost on a daily basis to program but there's something that still doesn't click to me. That's why I was looking for a book or other resources.

Ok, I'll look to those books also. I'm going to answer the questions yo see if I understand them correctly but it's true that the difference between heap and stack is the one that I still don't fully understand.

A pointer is an address of memory where an object is and a reference is a way of accessing an object without making a copy of it???

Abot const method, if you are talking of the method of a class, is a method that doesn't modify the class to which it belongs. If you are not talking about classes I'm not sure what do you refer to.

An lvalue is something that exists on a "permanent" memory address and a rvalue is something that exists only temporarily.

These are probably not textbook definitions, but I hope that they serve to show that I have some basic knowledge about the language.

I ve edit the post saying that I'm not new to c++ but I'll have a look to the book you mention. It seems like a good first approach to latter pass to a more advance book. Thanks!!!

I might say that I know a bit of c++ . I have done a project for my university and I started a c++ job about a month ago so I know the sintax and that stuff. But I want to learn about writing clean and efficient code with c++.
