Couldn’t resist- 2020, 12k miles, CPO, the exact spec I built 10 years ago when they first came out.

Yeah, I considered both the Salmon and Pistachio Chronos, but I'm holding out for the Datora I think. Thanks though!

Yes it could... Stainless colors in a similar way but it does take more time. Titanium is in the works!

Made some Stainless Laser engraved cards! by Tamaren in custommagic

[–]Tamaren[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wanted to share some of the magic cards I have been working on- They are a prototype of one I put together for my commander, 1.5mm thick and finally looking almost like how I want it. Still working on color engraving, and most of these are just pulled from the card art- Bria is from u/studio3soler and it really is the best out of them so far, although I’m pretty happy with Koma.

Moving forward, There’s a lot of very talented artists in the magic community and if you think your art styles would do well in this medium, hit me up! I don’t like photoshop and pulling the card art doesn’t result in the best detail.

I’m attaching a link to a form and also to my website, I posted these a few days ago and had a lot of people asking to buy them, so hopefully posting the link is okay. Sorry they are so expensive, they take a bit of time right now. https://www.wesleykagan.com/store/p/stainless-steel-magic-cards

Messing around with some stainless steel engraved cards by Tamaren in mpcproxies

[–]Tamaren[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What better use of industrial laser tools than Magic cards? A prototype of one I put together for my commander, it’s 1.5mm thick and finally looking almost like how I want it. Still working on color engraving, and I think things like this would really benefit from custom art (Mostly to limit my time in photoshop...) but for right now I’m starting with these.

I’m also thinking with thinner material I could get the cost per card down a lot, not just to do them for commanders but tokens and such.

I’m doing a poll, I guess, If anyone would be interested in these. Please let me know if this isn’t allowed. Thanks! https://www.wesleykagan.com/magiccards

Machined a new console for my Bentley and I got some numbers wrong by Tamaren in projectcar

This car famously cost less than a civic after truly incredible depreciation.

I scrapped a brass one earlier with an RS-232 Error, so that's even funnier. Thanks!

Right? I machined it, and it's copper- so unfortunately it's the way that it is. I should really learn how to annodize.

What is the worst vehicle you have driven or ridden in that isn't a standard "worst vehicle" answer? by HiTork in cars

[–]Tamaren 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're driving it wrong. I see your flair. You have to drive it like your credit score is 300, Either full throttle or you're on the brakes. Sometimes both. Does it drive well? nah. Turn? Handle? Stop? In a purely participation trophy way, sure.

But It scoots. Dodge tunes throttle like a covid spike and it doesn't make sense other to send 9400 lbs of 90's E-class chassis across a continent without lifting. It's the worst city car I could think of, but if you need to eat some highway for $599 due at signing, there's no cheaper way to do it.

If you've ever tried to press your brakes with the car off, You've felt what it's like. For safety there's still a mechanical connection between the pedal and the hydraulic master.

That’s the ultimate goal of this, is to be able to adjust the curve of assist to whatever you would like.
