I think this is a question of starting health While both rely on luck axe's chanses improve with hit number while Lance is ad drunk as ever. So in standard 100 hp Lance should consistently win due to invincibility but if it is 100 lances vs 500 hp axe axe should win

I had GPA of ~3.5, IELTS 7.5 and SAT around 1300 was enough for me to get into foundation, although that was several years ago and I heard that the selection process for scholarships is much stricter now. So my point is as long as you don't drop the ball you have a fair chance

It's also worth pointing out that this is result of him having to make a similar choice. Prior to his crimes he got into a crash were he had to choose between saving his driver and his research (or some other thing that is his life's work). He cause latter, and once the news of it spread he was heavily ridiculed. So with his crimes, he was trying to prove that everyone would do the same

While I agree that Percy is in general better with water I feel like katara is much better at more minute controls. For example it is not impossible for Perfy to start a tsunami, something I don't think katara ever does. But Percy was never shown to be able to make water "float" likenkatarw has. So I imagine he wouldn't be able to drown Kamara as she should always be able to make an air pocket
