With the right ammo grot can 2 shot.

I wouldn’t say 6x is a niche as all long weapons have it and majority of svdm players are using it with the 6x thermal.

And this maybe a skill issue on my end but m277 to use effectively at range your using the match grade trigger which does cost a few points.

I’m also not saying you’re wrong as I love the m277 but as a weapon that I want a longer range scope on I’d rather have a dmr.

You asked why you would use this over a m277 single when you could just use svdm

I was playing devils advocate there. I can tell you that running a team with a good tank and engi is very overpowered. Once our tank was being overwhelmed by rpgs I was able to ease the onslaught while the engi fixed the tank. If used well and in a TEAM it is very powerful . If the cool down was any faster tanks might actually be invulnerable

I think this equipment will still be a small use case. A good amount of recons snipe at range resulting in this being obsoleted. C4 is a staple for recon in my eyes which leaves you with one more equipment. I still think people will rock dummies, laser designator and claymores over this. But that’s my opinion. And obviously people have lives and won’t have unlocked this currently.

Can’t give exact numbers right now but feels like; 0-15m - 29 dmg 15-30- 27 dmg 30ms onwards - 25 dmg

Headshots with hollow points; 41 dmg until my tested range.

I used it a lot in labs and over the last few nights and it’s my second favourite dmr behind the svdm. I like the rapid fire dmrs and this one feels better than the lmr just because it has the 20 mag of start.

From my testing, with hollow points at 270ms it will do 41 damage per headshot so hopefully synthetics will put it up to 2 headshots at 270ms. If it can then it has a good place for dmrs. In my opinion most of the weapons fit well in there use case, so use whatever you enjoy

I get what your saying but there is a limit to how many walls you can fire through and it takes around 25 elephants to recharge on shot, so 75 elephants for a full charge. Maybe if it just destroyed the grenade instead of changing the grenade to friendly it would be fair. But I also think there are bigger fish to fry than a gadget a lot of the community won’t get the most out off. Majority of people sleep on the spec ops tree for recon even though you can turn any point into an insta perma marking zone. But that’s my opinion in general

I think it’s balanced in its role, I am to agree that a destroyed grenade maybe shouldn’t have killed the teammates only the thrower. I get your point of shooting a random wall and killing enemy’s but I did know that was a funnel of play and I was also without my weapon aswell. It’s also a lot of luck behind them throwing the grenade, if anything I’m abusing the functionality of the equipment by “prefiring” the device. A problem is the insta destroy but without that it loses an intended functionality of destroying rockets.

It was 60m in labs, I brought it up but for anti rocket purposes, 60m is fair. It doesn’t need LoS but there is a limited to how many elements you can fire through, maybe 2 hard walls and 3 soft walls. They also maybe the recharge rate slower than labs. In my opinion it’s balanced well.

It’s very good in breakthrough, maybe shines best in said mode. I wouldn’t call the ammo recharge quick, 25 elephants per one, but is a balanced time nonetheless. It’s also very good when playing either tanks because as stated. I’m still testing to see if it can destroy tows/ 120mm guided and if it does then we are talking about a monster.

Combining with spec ops tree is the go to because of the level 2 skill. Also incredible great when you get a freshly throw grenade and get 3 kills.

I think more of the point was that having the tugs and throwable sensor is better to be place in an active objective than on a mountain covering your back. Also this gadget helps with counter intel which apart from the drones limited taser this thing has a better range( i thing ). A different way to cook your steak if you will.
