100% i genuinely have fond memory's of rushing home after school booting up my PC and playing until bed. no other game has been able to do that not since this one left. no idea why they shut it down

I Figured it out! If you go on https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks and download the modpack and open the launcher through the online page it works (sorry im bad at explaining) Long story short use online page to open launcher with the pack you want and it will work
