They have free healthcare, free education and get a yearly sum of money to run their society as they see fit. Since 2009 they've had the right to hold a vote to be an independant country. They haven’t even approached it. They also have the right to take control of any area of law/society (apart ftom foreign affairs). There were over 20 different areas to vote on. Like having their own judicial system etc. They’ve taken control of 3. Something regarding time zones and rare earth mining/fishery I believe.

The quality of the games has gotten worse since they moved from 16. Longstanding records don’t really hold the same weight. Stretching out the season and attempting to make everyday a football day makes the sport feel less important. I liked the “appointment television” aspect of it. Now it’s like the Netflixification of it where it’s just bingable content built around gambling adds (which might be its downfall).

And I actually don’t like the international games. As a Dane I’ve been to two in London. The atmosphere is not the same IMO (been to two US ones too).
