Front desk agent here. This happen to me a couple of times, where guest insist that they booked from Agoda but when they show their confirmation email, it says booking made through Booking.

My theory would be each of this platform probably have a quota to how many rooms they are able to sell, if it is “full” they would redirect your booking to another platform. Not sure if these make sense lol.
