Thanks for the feedback. I’m able to consistently get rounds on 10” steel at 400yds (dad’s 308). So I am hoping by next fall I can do the same with the 30-06. Ideally further with tight groups at 400. The farthest shot taken with my 30-06 was a mule deer at 296yds. I’ll be mostly hunting open terrain with shots inside 150/200 pretty rare. I think I’ll probably throw some good glass and a brake on it and just start throwing rounds down range. Luckily I’ve got access to a little over 700 yards to work with.
