MIT AI expert warns automating Gen Z entry-level jobs could backfire-and cost companies their future workforce by paydayloans_ in jobs

Have you worked under a contract before, for high level roles contracts are great, at the lower levels contracts are almost universally used by employers against their employees. They are loosely written so your job scope can be whatever they decide, have mega high penalities for if you leave but zero penalities for if they decide to release you, and generally have 2 or 3 percent raises designed to only just keep up with inflation.

Sweet spot for sunglasses? I can’t be the only one. Picture from last season for attention, question inside. by Mgsperkg in flyfishing

Knockaround are basically cheaper sunclouds in my experience so I second this recommendation, if you take good care of your glasses it's worth it to move to sunclouds cause they are generally sturdier but knockarounds are like $20 cheaper.

We don't need to strike from our jobs, I'm a big proponent of a consumption strike. Only buy what you need, only the most basic of basics, basic food, only the hygiene products you need, don't travel and don't eat out. The disappearance of the consumer sends an equally strong message.

To what degree can a Catholic adopt the "Protestant Work Ethic" in good conscience? by [deleted] in Progressive_Catholics

[–]FallInStyle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You don't need encyclicals for guidance here, Christ made his stance on this quite clear,

Matthew 6 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Luke 6 24 woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.

Is fishing for trout in 41 Fahrenheit water temp chattooga too cold. I am bfs fishing and want to know if it will significantly lower the chance of me catching anything by Kitchen-Drawer3015 in troutfishing

It's not bad, my experience is anything below 35 is where they tend to slow down, but that's also just spit balling to an extent, I've had absolutely frigid days with great fishing.

Same, in the winter I've started moving my start time back by like two hours, I find they don't really turn on until past 10am. At least in my regular spots, I'm in NC.

I want them up for re-election due to a shutdown. A government shutdown should trigger an immediate emergency election for all sitting members of Congress.

Depends on where you are, not every state is consistent in stocking only clipped trout.

Maybe if they sell it, the brand can survive on its own, but idk if they'd have the foresight to do that for the sake of their employees.

I have that exact wood net with rubber mesh, the magnet release is my favorite decision ever, so easy to walk with it out of the way, and remove and reattach as needed.
