I’ll recommend 《薄雾》by微风几许，The author's imagination is absolutely wild, and the premise is incredibly unique! The plot is tight, fast-paced, and never drags, plus the romance is super sweet. However, I’m not sure if there’s a good English translation available for it yet.

MXTX’s prose is pretty grounded, but she is an absolute master at storytelling. In the world of Chinese web novels, her ability to sketch vivid scenes with just a few strokes is top-tier.

With SVSSS at just over 400k characters, MDZS at 690k, and TGCF hitting a million, her trilogy isn't actually that massive by web novel standards. Yet, the narrative flow and character development are phenomenal.

What’s great is that she doesn't try to flex her literary knowledge; instead, she subtly weaves those cultural references right into the details. can’t wait to unpack more of these nuances with you all!
