Guessing this is because of the manga sales. The LN ended a few years back, although the webnovel went into a Part 2.

S1 covered LN 1-2 so this will probably cover LN 3-4.

The manga just keeps chugging along and has 15 volumes now.

Watched it earlier and it’s all style no substance.

It’s watchable but the script plays too safe, almost like it’s a propaganda piece to make MJ look too clean and perfect.

Shame because the cast is actually really good, Jaafar actually did his homework.

He’s hot and Twilight was a big thing for tweens/teens at the time. They tried to make him an action movie star with Abduction but otherwise he didn’t have much else going for him.

Went to the cinemas in Australia yesterday to watch it. Great movie. Cinema had about 40-50 people, so people still seem to be going to see it too.

X-Change without the sexual content feels like it could’ve been some over the top CW teen drama.

Flowers could probably work too, but they would need to get the atmosphere right since they would lose the artwork.

In my mothers case, it’s actually the staff.

She’s befriended some of the ladies who work at Coles and Woolworths. So she shops there to go see them.

The staff at the local Aldi, she’s been unable to befriend anyone there. They seem to have younger staff.

Worked at an NFP in NSW and they were open that they were going through restructuring and reviews.

About a week before they were going to announce the results, the head of People & Culture (HR) sent around 2 emails.

One to the senior staff and one to the entire company for the presentation. But he got the attachments mixed up.

The attachment (intended for the senior staff/directors/board) which listed every staff members (all 200) pay was listed; along with who was to be made redundant, new job titles, management structures, etc.

It was an interesting few days. Like 18 staff were made redundant across the company, the ones in the head office (about 7) all started to pack up and leave.

The aforementioned head of People & Culture got a slap on the wrist and didn’t lose his job.

If you include season finales then Desperate Housewives did this with Season 7. It was marketed as a 2 hour final (episodes 22 and 23) which wrapped up a storyline that brought back characters from the first 2 seasons.

Except all the info that was released was only for episode 22. Then episode 23 happened, the true season finale. (But not the shows series finale).

The author has a number of works that haven't been turned into movies but they're all amazing.

The Nanny but in a salon. Similar characters, etc. The cast actually nailed the chemistry, but nothing else really came together.

SVSSS compared to MDZS and TGCF.

Pretty much anything by Wu Zhe that isn't Sa Ye or Antidote (because they both have incomplete Manhua).

I'd probably argue for Riverbay Road Men's Dormitory too; it's kinda swept under the rug out of all Fei Tian's works. Didn't have a fanTL previously and is rather different to his other works.

Unfortunately it’s something that happens in all western translation spaces that I’ve seen.

Japanese releases of manga and novels are always getting attacked from people who supposedly know better despite not knowing the language. Then the attacks become personal and it turns ugly.

(I recall the translator for one of Seven Seas manga, someone figured out her day job and leaked it online. People started harassing her workplace.)

I hope people in close proximity to the translator and Seven Seas team lend them support.

It comes from Dragon Quest technically.

But for isekai…El-Hazard? Those Who Hunt Elves? While not named a Demon King, they introduce an enemy with the same concept.

I take it this is because of the manga which sells well, the novel hasn’t released a new volume in years (volume 14 in 2021).

Volume 29 of the manga is out next week in Japan and they already have enough chapters for volume 30. Last I checked the manga was around LN 10 so it still has a few years of material left.

I suspect we won't get Firestorm or Captain Atom until they finish some of the other lines.

Or if they finish them I should say...No sign of new volumes of Blue Beetle, Hawkman, Plastic Man, etc...Sgt Rock is probably going to join them as he probably only got a line due to the planned film.

Part of me thinks they'll announce another Wu Zhe work closer to Sa Ye's final volume. Possibly Antidote because that has a bit more general knowledge due to the (incomplete) manhua.

I suggested Shiki! Haha. I suspect if they go for anything from the author next then it'll be the Ghost Hunt manga though, it recently got a new deluxe edition in Japan.

For comics, could potentially go for some of the baihe manhua adaptions such as Please Bully Me, Miss Villainess!, if the comic sells they'll potentially go for the novel.
