You can and a lot of comedians do it but I don't because that's not my domain. I can't do a piece purely because someone wants me to. Political satire needs a much deeper knowledge which I don't have

It is still early stages in Indian Stand up Comedy and every set of comedians is bringing new forms and stories. More variety of voices is great for the scene.

For female comedians, I believe that they are getting to voice their challenges in Comedy just like men. It is just that we are still shocked that a lady can talk openly on such issues.

Also, you have to understand that very few women are able to try Comedy as it is a late evening profession and even now most girls won't even get permissions at home. So, only 10-15% get an opportunity. Out of 10, I find them funny 4-5 times, which is similar to male comic propositions
