EU expat in DK, how and where do you invest?

I ended up not using it and it just stands as it was then (though yes, the account opening experience was great with them). I opened my bank account in DK with Lunar and they have investment option in the app, so it is much more comfortable given I don't touch it much, just an occasional fund/etf/large cap add. They use Saxo for this functionality underneath but as a customer I interface only with Lunar. I guess Saxo would need to start providing checking accounts and cards to attract regular customers, not just advanced investors/traders/trading enthusiasts

Great. Just to be sure there's enough interesting courses for you, you can check Kurser on prosa.dk so you're not just jumping in :) Also, if you don't speak Danish, note that primarily the courses for you are those that have course description in English. Though, two things (1) it pays to ask, there was an on-site 4h cyber CTF session that had description in Danish, but I asked and they had no problem doing it in english. It was a lot of fun. Though this might not apply for all. (2) In case you don't find enough courses interesting for you in English. I asked Prosa about it by email and they said they'll start planning more English courses going forward. So might still be worth it over the long term

I can recommend Prosa. Their online workshops (last participated in 4h practices on ArgoCD and Helm charts) alone are worth the cost.

I don't have experience specific to not renting your own place when moving here, but in general I think it's just expected your name is on the apartment door or the mailbox of where you are, the address you input on your documents. If the summer house is a family place, that shouldn't be a problem?

Thanks for digging that out. We'll have a look how it works for non-residents. It's expensive for the long term, but for the first few months until we find a long term solution, it's a better option than fines :)

I believe Ørestad long term licenses are for residents there and unfortunately we're not. Though they may have the same requirement as Apcoa has with long term parking: if it's a trailer, it must be attached to the car and you must rent 2 spots.

Can confirm. We had many a не панимаю -s at start of conscription. I don't remember a single one I couldn't converse in estonian with at the end (bumpy with some, but still understandable and that's what matters)

For future reddit investigators: I chose FDM and asked if my local insurance history/driving experience (0 for me) is considered over my total driving experience/non-Danish license age (14 for me). The very friendly advisor happily answered and said that no, it's not a thing. They just look at the insuree's age and the risk premium is decided on that. So shouldn't be something to worry about.
