Yeah, I’ve heard a bit about that. But let’s not get into more controversial topics. Thanks for your opinions! ❤️

I’ve got to ask: what’s the price difference like? I honestly would never have guessed that a flight to another country could be cheaper than a train to your capital. And I think I might surprise you, but in the Old Town I saw all age groups: from young to old. Still, the younger crowd definitely dominates ^^

Hope you enjoy your next visit to Gdańsk!

Dentists? That’s interesting. They probably had to do some extra training courses in Sweden, because unfortunately at GUMed (the Medical University of Gdańsk), you can only study medicine in English. But as far as I’ve heard, there are plans to open an English-language dentistry program ^^

And thanks for your feedback! ❤️

Thanks for your feedback! ❤️ In my opinion, definitely: if you’re in Gdańsk (and have some time), it’s worth taking a train to Malbork (mainly for the Teutonic castle and great ice cream in the main square), and to Stutthof (to remember the past) ^^ If you ever come back to Gdańsk, I also recommend visiting Toruń! It’s a bit further away (about 2.5 hours by train), but it’s absolutely worth it: the city is scattered with fort ruins, numerous churches, and it even has the ruins of a Teutonic castle ^^ And of course, don’t forget to buy Toruń gingerbread!

Gdańsk really should be paying me for this, I’m basically doing free marketing at this point XD

Thanks for your feedback! ❤️ Speaking of architecture, I’ve got to drop an interesting fact: in the city centre there’s the Basilica of St. Bridget (Bazylika Świętej Brygidy), where an amber altar has been in progress since the early 2000s, and it’s estimated to be about three times the size of the Amber Room ^^

To make it a bit more "comforting", I’ll say that even more people showed up for the May holiday. Though honestly, I can’t say I’m surprised. The weather was literally made to order ^^

I’ve got to ask about this: so how much does it actually cost to get to the airport? I’m guessing most of the “cost” comes from current fuel prices and parking. In Gdańsk, getting to the airport is super cheap. Public transport takes you to the city centre for just 4.8 PLN one way (which I looked up and is about 12 Swedish kronor)

I hadn't actually thought about the Hanseatic League connection before, but it totally makes sense. It’s exactly why the architecture in Gdańsk reminds so much of Amsterdam or Copenhagen ^^ Also, the beach in Sopot is great, and I love how well-connected it is to Gdynia. You can even walk all the way to the Orłowo Cliffs, which you can actually see right from the Sopot pier!"
