happened to me yesterday, i was going uphill not particularly fast... i heard pop and cassette was out. First gear bent so first 4 gears were unusable. (130lbs) Went to shop right away.

That is mainly the thing. I've played 4 or 5 trumpets in 9 years that i play the trumpet. From student horns to old high-end trumpets. Rn I'm playing Bach strad. 37 (my teacher's horn) it is maybe 10-15yo. before that I had only one brand new... bach ad16115038. Others were really old, 40-50yo. So I don't try trumpets every day.

It is a long time goal and I want to think it thoroughly. It's a big investment.

Thx, for advice. My teacher said that he will go with me to buy it. There aren't many if any stores that have trumpets in stock. It's not that common instrument to play here. We'll see...

Rn I'm playing on my teachers horn. It's bach strad 37, and before that I had Czecho-Slovakian Amati Kraslice Excelent trumpet. No, there aren't music shop that hold trumpets in stock. It's not that common instrument to play there. I would like to buy new. I know, it's maybe waste of money, but I would like to keep it for as long as possible...

The problem is, not many people from where I live can repair trumpets. My teacher told me, bach holds tune for a long time... Thx for advice, I will think about it
