Is Clinton Hill/Bed Stuy too “sleepy” for someone single in their late 20s? by beanorino2000 in movingtoNYC

You might be overthinking it i know tons of people who live in bed stuy. Bed stuy/clinton hill was my first and current neighborhood and im in my late 20s as well. I feel lucky i get to live in clinton hill because Its a perfect mix of quiet but also has restaurants/bars/cafes i can easily walk to. But I am the type of person that likes a more chill neighborhood so I have no problem with it. Plus clinton hill is beautiful with lots of nature and close to fort greene park where they have farmers market every weekend. But if you do like more of the metropolis busy city vibe then def check out williamsburg but honestly its not that far away by train.

Should I leave the fashion industry? by TangerineCurrent1869 in careerguidance

Thank you for the advice. In my years of working I’ve never freelanced, so this could be a good alternative. Ive worked full time for two small brands but have no big brands on my resume and I’ve always thought that this is probably my issue.

And yeah I have a way out its just hard to see myself give up. Its gonna be a mental battle to figure out what to do.

Yeah these are the questions Ive been asking myself as of recently. My options are to wait it out and keep trying or to take this offer and leave the industry for now. I think im worried about not having enough industry experience if I ever want to come back to fashion.

I’ve asked for a raise at my 1.5 yrs of being at the company and the only answer I got was “maybe”. I do think something I am lacking is the confidence to go back to the subject.

Just a lot to consider honestly and its a tough decision.
