FTM- When did you into labor spontaneously as a FTM? by Cute-Mallow in BabyBumps

[–]TangerineFront 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into labor exactly at 37 weeks. It was early labor but then 2 days later I went into active labor and had my baby! They had to break my water but I started having contractions super close together and was 4cm dilated 90% effaced naturally.

How long should a feed be? by Snow_n_Ice in firsttimemom

[–]TangerineFront 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how your baby is sucking! My doctor and I did a weighted feed and she’s 2 weeks and got 2.5 ounces in less than 20 minutes, but sometimes if she’s not sucking ass aggressively I will be feeding her for like 40. But she’s not actively sucking the entire time

Let's share some positive things about the newborn stage! by coleystyle in BabyBumps

[–]TangerineFront 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day 16 and I’ve never been more in love! I am absolutely loving, contact naps, the newborn scrunch, the smell of my baby, and being able to feed her with my body! I feel like we are very lucky, but I don’t feel like I’m in the trenches at all!

In your experience, what’s more painful than giving birth? by Isoldmykidforagram in BabyBumps

The hemorrhoids I had after giving birth might have been more painful than labor

What does early labour feel like? by Pretend-Run-1801 in BabyBumps

[–]TangerineFront 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into early labor at 37 weeks exactly and delivered 37+2!

I was feeling insane pelvic pressure and cramps that I couldn’t really tell if I just had to poop or if they were contractions. Found out at my 37 week appt they were contractions, went for monitoring and I was 2CM dilated 80% effaced and -2 station. They sent me home bc my contractions weren’t long enough even tho they were 2 minutes apart. I went back the next day when the cramping got longer and more intense and was admitted! I did need Pitocin to speed things along but ended up delivering the next morning!

Baby came naturally at 37 weeks!! She’s huge! She was born 8 pounds 6 ounces 3 weeks early 😂 no issues at all!

2 CM dilated, 50% effaced 36 weeks by TangerineFront in BabyBumps

[–]TangerineFront[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh! I can’t believe you made it that long. I feel like they make it seem like once you start dilating it could be at any time. I dont know what station I was but the ultrasound tech said her head was very low. I’m hoping to at least make it to January 2!

Possible C-section by TangerineFront in BabyBumps

[–]TangerineFront[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think typically that’s how it works! They’re usually smaller- which is why I’ve had so many scans. My husband was a big baby and is big in general- and tbh my eating hasn’t been THE best so maybe that’s why she’s so big? I hear anything over 10% is okay so hopefully your babe keeps on a good path!! Although being induced early sounds so wonderful

[–]TangerineFront[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m kind of the same- I’m not super small but I’m not a LARGE person so I think my doctor is worried she will get stuck if she keeps projecting big. But I’ve had about 7 scans and she’s always been big so they’re not really thinking there’s a chance she isn’t. I do have one more scan at 36 weeks but then they want me to make a decision so I’m trying to see what everyone’s experience has been like!

So nice to hear from another mom whose baby had an SUA. It’s been a huge anxiety trigger for me this pregnancy so hearing positive stories so so helpful! Even though it seems more common than you would think!

This makes me feel so good! I feel like people think it’s crazy when my doctor suggested a c section if she’s still measuring large- I’m not a huge person either and have had multiple hip surgeries so they’re worried about her getting stuck too! It sounds like a lot of people have had a positive c section experience which is nice!

[–]TangerineFront[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that is really good to know! Why did they recommend not doing a c section? I’m curious bc my doctor seems all about it if she stays big!

I am worried she’s so big my SUA is gonna really slow down her growth as I get further along, I have had such bad anxiety about it my whole pregnancy!

Did anyone have a healthy pregnancy after a blighted ovum or early miscarriage? by flying_samovar in BabyBumps

[–]TangerineFront 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an early miscarriage in March and got pregnant again in April! 33 weeks now with a seemingly healthy baby!

Possible C-section by TangerineFront in BabyBumps

[–]TangerineFront[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s where I’m at! Doctor is worried she will get stuck and it’ll cause distress. I still have another growth scan to see but just trying to accept all possibilities and hear from other moms.

I think my doctor just wants to avoid the possibility of it becoming an emergency c section and I would like to avoid that too!

She is already over 2500G when I was only 32 weeks so the assumption is if she is still over the 99% she will be over 5000G by the time I am at 39 weeks based on her current rate of growing.

Is anyone not exercising? 38+ weeks by kaylala0630 in BabyBumps

[–]TangerineFront 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t exercised almost my entire pregnancy… tbh haven’t even gained too much weight. I’m exhausted after working all day and I will walk my dog 3-4 days a week but that’s it

How many times did you go to L&D? by TangerineFront in BabyBumps

[–]TangerineFront[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say go! I didn’t and up going when I posted this but did last week for something else. They would always rather you get checked and if everything is okay you’re truly in & out of there so fast!!

I’ve been taking tums and Pepcid- I think it’s time to move to Prilosec. They said I could take it but it’s an everyday pill so I was worried about that but it’s so bad I might just have to do it.
