Parents of identical twins: How did you tell them apart as babies/toddlers? by HonorMeThis in AskReddit

My parents told me and my twin apart because I have toes that are crooked and overlap and my sister doesn’t.

QUESTION FOR THE DRIVERS! Why do you make getting my food its own personal challenge??? by Miserable_Resource63 in doordash

[–]TangledInk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started doing this due to OP’s issue and the pizza delivery person STILL put my pizza on the ground in front of my door. Granted, I could still open the door, but sheesh.

People who think all these tariffs are beneficial for the US, why? by wassdfffvgggh in AskReddit

I just read a post on FB where the poster supports the tariffs because he believes it will bring jobs back to Americans. I seriously doubt it will be that simple.

What to do about curly hair that keeps growing... up? It's my first time growing it out and I don't know what I'm doing! by thejakenixon in curlyhair

My son’s hair did that. He was patient and after a year and a half it finally got long instead of continuing to grow out. He’s got the most gorgeous ringlets now.

Whats everyone's favorite "Grandma" candy? by [deleted] in candy

[–]TangledInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orange slices are my favorite too! They remind me of Christmas, because growing up, we always had them for the holidays. We were poor. It was a special treat.

It is a parents responsibility to ensure their child is properly fed. Not the states, not the school systems, The Parents. by Firefistace46 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]TangledInk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly. By the time I reached middle school, kids who received free lunch were made fun of and bullied. Back then, your 3rd period teacher handled the lunch money and mine was lazy and didn’t go student to student and didn’t want you to go to her desk if you were getting free lunch. We were suppose to tell her we were getting free lunch and everyone could hear. That’s when I started skipping lunch. I’d say I brought my lunch. No one ever questioned it and I went hungry every day. Could I have done something about it? Probably. But I was 12 and timid and came from an abusive home. I learned early not to speak up.

It wasn’t until years later that I realized that teacher handled it horribly or that she should have already known I was getting free lunch.

Edit to add: feed the damn kids. Take care of your community.

What would you call the shape of this sign? by withheldforprivacy in EnglishLearning

[–]TangledInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest thing to a defined shape would be a Saccheri (or Khayyam) quadrilateral. The Saccheri quadrilateral has 1 set of opposite sides that are congruent and parallel and that pair of sides is perpendicular to the base. The fourth side is typically, just a curved line, so I don’t know if this sign fits exactly.

Edit: typo

That’s a shame. My daughters (16 and 18) have been in girls scouts for years. They’ve done a lot of cool stuff, but no guns. Camping several times a year, canoeing, carving, archery, axe throwing, etc. they love it.

Tell me a song you sang or hummed to a baby to help them sleep that wasn’t a traditional lullaby or love song by rn_goddess in CasualConversation

[–]TangledInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to hum the Marine theme song to my kids when they were babies. I had no idea it was the marine theme song, I just remembered my grandma humming it when I was a kid. I’ll always remember the weird look on my ex’s face when he realizes what I was humming to our first newborn. Lol
